We bring in Bleier to face Crawford and Peterson in the 9th but not Joely for the 11th. Is Joely hurt or was he unavailable?
I assume Joely and Pivetta were held for tomorrow. I would have preferred going for the win here and moving Bello up to pitch on normal rest tomorrow.

this series is a different story if Trevor showed up
He keeps showing up. But at the wrong ballparks.

I seriously do not get what they’re waiting for. Even if they’ve got a trade in mind or a roster crunch, seems they could’ve and should’ve gotten him here by now.

I guess they need something to present if the trade deadline is a bust.

Severino getting shelled in the first inning for 6 runs without yet recording an out helps alleviate the pain a little.

Should Martin have gone another inning? If not him, who?
I, too, assumed the game was over when Llovera came in, but, whatcha gonna do?
Sorry Nick Pivetta either missed the plane to SF or Cora hates him. Or he's being traded.
That game was winnable if we had a third baseman who could catch the godamned ball.
And Arroyo getting doubled off. Terrible. Any game where hot hitters Casas and Duran are not starting is asking for a loss.
I don't care if Sandy Koufax is starting, never mind some bullpen scrub. There were some very weird moves this weekend.
The good news? Turner is a true stud.

Tell me about it. I was at both games. Blame me, the Sox won the only game in the series I wasn't at.
Speaking of blame, my game-thread start is one and done. I noticed that during long Sox winning streaks, the Sosh game-thread starter is congratulated as tho he were somehow instrumental in this. Does it follow that today's loss is on me?

Feels like this whole “let’s just go with a bunch of bullpen games for a month or two” strategy may cost them a playoff spot.
This loss was totally on Cora and the offense. When you can't even move the Manfred Man off second base in both the 10th and 11th you deserve to lose. I also thought Cora made a mistake taking Duvall out of the game for Chang was a big mistake.
Also why can't Jansen pitch? I know he had pitched Friday and Sat but yesterday he threw 1 fucking pitch. Suppose he had come in the game yesterday with 2 outs and picked a guy off first base. Would Jansen have still been unavailable? If Jansen was available, then you don't have the rookie pitching the 11th. Everyone 's inning is pushed back
