let's not forget WAS traded their 2 best defensive players this week and NE could only score 17, 7 coming on a short field. If Mac is starting next week I'm ready for to move on from Bill.

You are what your record says you are. Not selling off anything for low round picks was just plain dumb.

Besides throwing to the middle with 30 seconds left and no TOS?
It was a fine decision and play by Mac. Plenty of time to get there and spike it. Well within FG range if JuJu catches that.

Lots to criticize Mac for (as usual) but this was absolutely NOT one of them.

Dude. That’s literally in no way on Mac unless he’s supposed to avoid throwing to the guy who just made a great catch two plays before.
JuJu kept the drive going by making a ridiculous catch so it is 50% on him 50% on Mac that drive and 90% on Mac for the rest of the game.

If JuJu catches that they are firmly in FG range and have plenty of time to get up to the line to spike it. It was a perfectly fine throw, a good one even, that an NFL receiver has to make.

That said, Mac sucks and the offense in general is not an NFL caliber offense. They are objectively bad.

JuJu was primarily to blame. He sucks.

Mac shouldn’t have thrown the ball though.
So the rookie has a long FG attempt to tie?

Nope. I disagree. Juju was open in a spot that makes it an easier kick. And Mac hit him in the fucking hands.

There are plenty of decisions and throws where the blame goes to Mac.

That wasn’t one of them.

Edit: and I recognize you put the bulk of the blame on Juju. I’m just saying he deserves all of it.

Unless you can’t trust him to make the catch, in which case, Boutte should be playing and Juju inactive.

I may be in the minority but I don't have any problem Mac making that final throw.

Our wr stink, they are rarely more open than that, we still needed yards. It was a fine throw and decision. JuJu was interfered with though could have still caught it.

The far more concerning one was the short throw JuJu bailed him out on on 4th and 4. Way off the mark on a pretty easy throw, game should have ended right there.

Shouldn’t be throwing there at all
I’m as down on Mac as anyone, but this is absurd. Brady made throws like that all the time and they worked bc we had receivers that were competent.

there are a million problems with mac’s game today. That last throw wasn’t one of them

Hilarious that people are blaming Mac on that throw. That’s a catch the receiver had to make

Here
Also, Mac ran backwards on that scramble on first down and the clock should have run. More poor situational awareness (and officiating).

What about Reagor? He get any blame for a drop inside the red zone?

The special teams penalties that resulted in the Pats not having any timeouts on that last drive.

There's plenty of blame to go around, Mac deserves a lot of it though.

Where was JuJu on the field there? I’m asking sincerely. I guess you spike it with, what, 20 seconds left? Maybe run a play more?

How dare he make a perfect throw that gets them in field goal range when they're down 3 in the closing seconds. Should have thrown it away instead
He was expecting JuJu to bail him out 2 times in a row. The thing is when you throw 50/50 balls they aren't all caught especially when you don't have Jules over the middle.

It was not an easy catch. Mac gave him a chance. Just shitty that the ball was room service for the defender.

That wasn't a 50-50 ball, he hit him right in the hands where it could never be picked. Unless that exact freak tip up in the air happened.
