Dude. That’s literally in no way on Mac unless he’s supposed to avoid throwing to the guy who just made a great catch two plays before.
If it helps blame me. I agree with JMac that Jones shouldn't have thrown that there. He doesn't have the touch - that last catch by JSS was sick because he bailed Mac out.

They don’t have any receivers, if a guy is open for a first down to get near fg range, what do you want? They needed yards.
It was a fine decision and play by Mac. Plenty of time to get there and spike it. Well within FG range if JuJu catches that.
Lots to criticize Mac for (as usual) but this was absolutely NOT one of them.
JuJu kept the drive going by making a ridiculous catch so it is 50% on him 50% on Mac that drive and 90% on Mac for the rest of the game.
Why not? Plenty of time to spike it if he catches that and have shots into the end zone? They're down by 3, not 4. The field goal is already in play.

If JuJu catches that they are firmly in FG range and have plenty of time to get up to the line to spike it. It was a perfectly fine throw, a good one even, that an NFL receiver has to make.
That said, Mac sucks and the offense in general is not an NFL caliber offense. They are objectively bad.

That was definitely a very tight window over the middle of a field, but it was probably his best throw of the game.
How dare he make a perfect throw that gets them in field goal range when they're down 3 in the closing seconds. Should have thrown it away instead

Nope. I disagree. Juju was open in a spot that makes it an easier kick. And Mac hit him in the fucking hands.
There are plenty of decisions and throws where the blame goes to Mac.

Unless you can’t trust him to make the catch, in which case, Boutte should be playing and Juju inactive.
I may be in the minority but I don't have any problem Mac making that final throw.

The far more concerning one was the short throw JuJu bailed him out on on 4th and 4. Way off the mark on a pretty easy throw, game should have ended right there.

I’m as down on Mac as anyone, but this is absurd. Brady made throws like that all the time and they worked bc we had receivers that were competent.
there are a million problems with mac’s game today. That last throw wasn’t one of them
100% wrong, wrong, wrong. It got them into easy FG range with plenty of time to spike it and kick the FG. It was a good decision and a good throw and JuJu screwed it up.
What about Reagor? He get any blame for a drop inside the red zone?
The special teams penalties that resulted in the Pats not having any timeouts on that last drive.

To the hands of a receiver? It’s was a fantastic throw. Like, Brady makes that throw to Edelman who catches it and we’re all talking about how balls Brady is.
He’s trying to fire it into a tight window in the middle of the field with no time outs. He can do none of those things.
He was expecting JuJu to bail him out 2 times in a row. The thing is when you throw 50/50 balls they aren't all caught especially when you don't have Jules over the middle.
It was not an easy catch. Mac gave him a chance. Just shitty that the ball was room service for the defender.
That wasn't a 50-50 ball, he hit him right in the hands where it could never be picked. Unless that exact freak tip up in the air happened.
He’s not Brady and JJSS isn’t Edelman and he can’t be trying these risky hero throws with his noodle arm. Make a safe play.
Mac sucks but even a good QB would have trouble with this offense. How can the WR be so bad???
