So after almost two decades on SOSH, my first game thread was a win. Remember when you were a kid and you thought maybe you were... special? Magic? That it all was about you and revolved around you? That you were the chosen one? Right now, I am still the chosen one. Win and my childish narcissism continues to build steam. Lose and I face the harsh reality that I am ordinary. Reality sucks. So does this version of the Pats playing in Miami. Please win. I will leave you with something Mac may be thinking right now. "I'm going to tell you something. Something others have only guessed at. It's true. I am the Chosen One."

A win would be a minor miracle but would also completely change everyone's perspective on the team. The Buffalo victory can be one of those "any given Sunday...." things, but to beat Miami in Miami would really shift the dynamic.

For the first time since game one this year there’s optimism. Mac finally did what most of us had been pining for. He lead the team down the field to score to win the game. He actually fucking did it. Against a divisional opponent who’s taken us to the woodshed a couple times recently. When Buffalo scored I figured best case scenario was overtime. Then they went right passed FG range into the RZ and proceeded to score on a well designed and executed play to Gesicki. Maybe the seal is finally broken?

Game 2 wasn't all that bad.. they were in both of them to almost the very end. The schedule and injuries for the first few games was pretty brutal...but the Pats played right with both Miami and Philly imo. And they won game three against the Jets.

It was only twice - Denver and GB back to back - but they did lose 4 in a row after looking like world beaters in September.
