You can't bench him so you have him naked bootleg in the hopes a defender injures him?

He wanted to end his game on a positive note. Broadcasters will play that and say "and a tight spiral gets their kicker into position to win"

Bears drive captures the modern NFL.
Play. Fumble? Possession? Pile. Bears ball. Catch? Review. Overturned.
Play. Catch. Helmet to helmet. Concussion. First down? Measure. First down. First down? Review.

unbelievable

Denver pulls another rabbit out of the hat, while Manning plummets.   It will catch up to them

Cleveland should have gone offside on purpose and given Denver the first, and played for the turnover rather than let them kick the extra point length field goal for the win.

It's probably better for the Pats if the Broncos get a bye (or high seeding)--that increases the odds that we see them at some point rather than a better team.

As irked as I am, I'm really not all that afraid of having to play in Denver in January, should it come to that.

It made absolutely no sense.  Denver was already on the 20? or so?  So Manning initially tries to draw them offsides and then runs a naked bootleg for 5 yards??  No other team in the NFL does that.  Once you get to the 20..just kick it and seal it.  Manning will eventually cost them a game this year... he's been very very luck that he hasn't yet.

They will never make it through the first round of the playoffs.

I'm trying to imagine Manning without Sanders for the next 4-6 weeks, if that's a serious shoulder issue.

jets, cincy and steelers would all be bigger challenges as far as I am concerned.

So the AFC is pretty much settled, right?
East Pats 15-1
North - Cincy 13-3
South Colts 8-8
West Denver 11-5
Wild cards - Jets, 10-6, Pittsburgh 9-7

WC games Pittsburgh beats Denver, Jets beat Colts
Division:  Pats beat Pittsburgh, Cincy Beats Jets
AFC title: Pats vs Cincy

I don't think anyone else has a chance. There are some really bad bad teams making the playoffs. yeesh

The Steelers, with Big Ben back, would be a bad matchup for Denver. That's a team that should put up 24+, and I don't think Manning can match that.

Talk about a soft 6-0 record.
They are going to have to eat the poison pill. If this were actually costing them games, they would address it. My guess is that Elway WILL address it after the season if Peyton does not have the sense to retire. But while they are winning, Elway's hands are tied.

Barring a medical issue that clears, he is what he is -- not good enough to advance very far in the playoffs.

You think he'll have the balls to go to Osweiller? I can't see it, even if it's the right move. Just try to imagine that team with Osweiller and 20 million more in cap space this season, it's pretty scary. I'm glad Manning came back.

The Lions won't go winless, thus ending any need to think about them the rest of the season

Worse yet, imagine if Denver had gotten a first or second for Manning from Houston.

In the battle of the AFCEast bullies:

Miami: 9 penalties for 97 yards
Buffalo: 8 penalties, for 93 yards

Sadly the Chargers have a legit shot at the Wild Card in the AFC. The whole league is garbage outside of maybe 5 teams.
Two teams.

Patriots and Packers.

Everyone else is varying degrees of shitty

It's kind of crazy. The AFC has 2 legitimate SB contenders, as far as I'm concerned. Denver has a really fantastic D, but I have a hard time putting them in as the 3rd because of how woeful Manning is and knowing that he's only going to get worse.

After the season? Absolutely. Elway knows QB play inside and out and can spot a sinking ship miles away. If he does not think Osweioer is up to it, he'll move in a third direction.

And not that Elway particularly cares, but this is a marriage of convenience for Bronco fans.

The packers know everyone picked lacy for fanduel/draft kings. The coaching staff started Starks and are cashing in!
