Rham did nothing in 13 carries - that's not on the coaches.
How do you develop a rhythm as a lead back when you only play every other series? He should be a bell cow 18+ rushes per game runner. That is in fact on the coaches. He's their best offensive weapon by far.

Here
I’m looking forward to the national media ripping the Cowboys for keeping their starters in and throwing up 28 points with 8 minutes left in the 4th, with the opponent benching their starting QB.

Oh wait….
Even last week, Miami drops 70. Didn’t hear “run up the score” once.

on what planet is uche an underperformer?
Let’s not miss the forest for the trees here but on Uche specifically- yes he had a nice year last year for sack count but in his 4 years thus far his snap count - 31%, 30%, 38%, 38%.
Maybe underperforming is the wrong word. Overrated? This is a 2nd rounder.
Big picture - lots of whiffs on difference makers.

It's less than 2 yards per carry; it's on Rham to produce when he has the ball. Running backs are too fungible to waste 13 carries on.

Hey we had basketball 20 years ago. One of my funniest memories was after the win vs Georgia some dumb Tech fan hopped on the closed part of a burning dumpster on campus to talk shit. He ended up in it briefly
20 years ago? How about 6 months ago! Anyway let’s get back on topic. Mac Jones amiright?

If they don't figure out the O-Line he's going to be shit too
They have to figure OL out regardless. He's significantly better than Mac would be with a good OL and also better than Mac is with a bad one. I don't know where this idea comes from that QB is the last piece you change after you get everything perfect.

I decided to watch the last Red Sox game of the year because Tim Wakefield passed away. There were a lot sad but moving tributes to Tim. Definitely a better choice than watching this debacle.

Zappe isn’t great but I still don’t know why so many people are so sure he’s “much” worse than Mac.

Remember he didn’t know he was going to be playing today.

Jeez I don't know how I didn't know that. I dunno, thinking about someone getting tossed into a burning dumpster is better than this dumpster fire!!!

I'll see myself out....

What would you have done differently? Mac was a perfectly reasonable choice and path, given the circumstances. Now we know it’s probably time to try again. This is how the NFL works.
Yea, they would’ve had to go 1-15 or 0-16 in 2020 to land Lawrence, even if they’d started Stidham or Hoyer that wasn’t a real possibility. Mac looked legitimately good in 2021 and made the playoffs, so of course you weren’t going to move on in 2022. Last year sucked, but did people really want to draft Will Levis or sign Baker Mayfield? There’s no point in that, you aren’t winning anything with them. Sure Baker is an upgrade, but that only worsens our pick next year.

He had two runs that almost broke. Zero chance to actually get in rhythm. You can't give up on the guy because he's had a slow start to the year because on a meta level RBs are fungible.
