Eh, the rule doesn't bother me. The duty is on the offense to execute and take care of the ball.
Agree, though that may be the end of the rule given that it screwed the Cowboys in a high profile spot.

I think the benefit of his approach is the consistency. But it does feel wrong at times.
You can say that about any play. Obviously it's not a good play by the offense to fumble the ball, but the punitive nature of the rule is entirely nonsensical and has nothing to do with how the game is usually played.
If you want to punish a team for fumbling forward out of the end zone beyond just giving them the ball back at spot of the fumble (like the rest of the field), you could make them go back to the 20 yard line. Even that is kind of absurd...but it's a lot less absurd than giving the ball to the OTHER team.
It makes less than zero sense. It's like a rule book typo no one bothered to correct and they're still inexplicably following.

Running the clock after penalties like delay of game is another really stupid rule. So, you don’t get the snap off, so you “delayed” the game. So we are going to run the clock to the two minute warning, and so now there is no play at all but a commercial. That will show them!
That's my defense. Its fun to watch. As a fan of neither team, let me see the trickeration, even if it ends badly.
BB is definitely behind the curve on these aggressive 4th down calls. But at the same time, some coaches take it way too far

I feel like if the rumors about the late 80s early 90s Cowboys players were accurate (especially at their training camp outside fo LA), it should be called the Line Of Honor.
