Football just gets harder and harder to watch. No consistency in what's a pass interference call or a personal foul.

And Collinsworth seems to be reveling in it.

should've kicked the 55 yarder, they have 3 timeouts left to force a final possession.
You think odds of making a 55 yarder and then holding them 3-and-out, and then getting back into FG range and then making the FG are better than picking up 6 yards and then punching it in from 20?

You're wrong.

I think yards between the 20s come much easier than yards in the red zone, because the defense has more things to worry about.

4th and 1, yes I go for it. 4th and 6, in kickable range for Robbie Gould, I think you're better off taking that FG.

edit: and it would've been pick up 6 and then punch it in from the 32.

I agree w your first point. But, still need bunch of other things to happen.

As to second point, you're still wrong. =)

I know we're just BS'ing on a message board here, but if you have the actual percentages involved, I'd be interested to see 'em.
I don't. But I agree, would be interesting to see the percentages on that one. I might do some digging tomorrow.

Think Id bet on the Giants converting a 4th down and 6 straight up over Robbie Gould hitting a 55 yard FG in that spot.

I see dated data that league wide converting six yards is ~45%, kicking is call it ~55%.

Kicking a field goal there would be gross.

The Vikings are being unloaded two at a time on a fire ladder. They're still at the Appleton airport, with kickoff less than 14 hours away at Lambeau Field.
