Well, there was a receiver out of bounds IIRC in the back of the end zone. Does he have to be inbounds?

For me, the inconsistency in applying the intentional grounding penalty is the most maddening in the NFL. It seems to be a lot less judgy than DPI or most PF calls and yet I see it applied differently almost every week.

I don't know, they really need write a clear rule defining the terms. I have a hard time understanding why Brady's throw in the SB is grounding, and that wouldn't be. Just because it was out of bounds? What's the difference? It certainly doesn't fit with the theme of the rule.
