What do other teams do? Like, the Patriots have changed their logo...once. What else are they doing to make it new and exciting?
and WFT could do things with maps, with George, with the monument or other DC icons...
Point taken. I suppose they could superimpose WFT over some sort of DC icon and change that up every so often. The Pats have changed their logo more than once and have made a few subtle changes over the years in the old Pat Patriot as well as a change to the "Flying Elvis" logo and have incorporated all of their logos in different ways when it comes to merchandising.

Yeah so it’s basically three logos:
The blue cape, or whatever that is.
Pat Patriot
Elvis

all the other ‘changes’ are just repurposings.

and there are all sorts of icons amd such that could use. A football with the monument in the background, the colonnade from the Jefferson memorial as a gridiron. A gridiron superimposed over the Mall. Washington wish a football. Hell they could be shitty and make a ‘flying Washington’ logo to rival the Patriots
There are a lot of unfunny people posting in this thread.
This is a terrible suggestion. It’s not even funny!

How about the Washingtons. Just that.

The "blue cape"... Take a close look at Pat Patriot's tri cornered hat. It was actually the first logo on a Patriot's helmet. Of course the others are repurposed and in response to your question, that's part of what teams do to make things "new and exciting".

Ha. The tri point hat, or whatever it’s called! Didn’t even notice that.
but anyway, the original question was ‘what could WFT do to for merchandizing, change fonts?’ And so my response was ‘yeah, repurposing amd repositioning stuff is all that most teams do’.
One of those linked above is just ‘Patriots’ on a grey background, with a flying Elvis head. Sox caps just have the B. As do the Nets. It’s no big deal.
WFT!

Oh, we're just ignoring the Concordes?
So you want obscure facts to puncture my effective word play?

This has always struck me as hilarious: is Rough Riders so awesome a name that it really needs to be used twice in an 8 team league?
Can’t one of them at least be the Easy Riders?
I believe both teams were in separate leagues way back when and then both grew into pro teams in the same league. It is also a name most commonly associated with Teddy Roosevelt. It would be like if the NFL had two teams called the Vimy Ridgers.

The dumbest thing of all is the Ottawa Rough Riders folded, and then when a new Ottawa expansion team was formed they wanted to use Rough Riders again.
https://nationalpost.com/sports/football/cfl/rough-riders-name-off-limits-for-ottawa

But I will say as a young man drinking a wee bit and alternating between "Go Riders Go" and "Riders Suck!" was fun. And "Yea Riders, not you!. the other, no not you either" etc.

The penalty is a joke, a speeding ticket. There should have been some real, franchise altering sanctions(having nothing to do with Patriots fan paranoia/whining). Multiple first rounders, at minimum. If you really want to send the message that fostering this kind of workplace culture is unacceptable, you have to make it much more impactful than a monetary fine he can pay standing on his head.

A few things:

I have no doubt whatsoever the Snyder is a complete sleaze who has cultivated a horrible work environment for women.
I have absolutely no faith whatsoever is any “investigation” done by Park Ave for multiple reasons like raging incompetence and nobody in power actually having a soul or a conscience.
Once again, we need to remember that RGis an employee, not an absolute dictator. If a half effort is put into an “investigation” it’s because the other owners wanted it that way. This appears to be the investigative version of No More. I don’t think it’s a stretch to surmise why other owners wouldn’t want this dealt with harshly.

Mistakes were made. Treating like shit women were. The passive voice league.

Release the report so that the guilty parties are identified.

There is specifically no report for this precise reason. The NFL is sweeping this one right under the rug with a pre-July 4 weekend news dump that will be forgotten by Tuesday.

I was sloppy. I was going to say, "lets see the details of the investigation." And now I see the investigator was "not tasked with assigning blame to any individuals." I will assume, for purposes of this discussion, that that order came from above Friel. If that's the case, I dont know how she can keep working for the NFL. If it came from her, she should be pilloried. Or, perhaps more maturely, be asked "why wasn't the investigator so tasked?"

Letting Snyder stay is the on field punishment. This is a team that hasn't won 11 games in a regular season or 2 games in a postseason in 30 years.

Bottom line, Snyder should have been removed as owner. He's the source of the problem. The NFL can't release anything coming close to a comprehensive report and allow him to stay, so they made a choice.

DC, Maryland, and Virginia need to go to the mat over the new stadium.

As a DC voter, I'll never vote for anyone who gives dime one of my money to Snyder. In the last city council elections, no one was pro publicly funded stadium.

Don't worry he named his wife Co-CEO so she can make sweeping changes to the organization's culture!

Amen to the bolded. His offenses, in a different way, are every bit is inexcusable as Donald Sterling's were, using an example from the NBA. But as you allude to, the league needed this to be a quick, half-assed show pony investigation/penalty. Going deeper would have likely kicked open far too many cans of worms for their comfort.

As Sally Jenkins pointed out it's very on brand for wft and Snyder. Hubby makes a mess; wife left to clean it up.
