Dopes if I am starting excessive threads please let me know and feel free to delete this. Sosh is not just a place where you can find thoughtful analysis of our favorite team but it is also a place where you can get up to the minute news. Given the trade deadline is tomorrow and there is a reasonable chance news will be coming quicker as we approach the deadline it would be nice to declutter the credible rumors thread. As such what do you think the Sox odds are next season? Do you think the majority of the pieces they have now will be useful next year or do you think they need to strip the team to it's foundation? Should they dabble in free agency next year or focus on their farms and trades? Is Ben and Farrel the right men for the job next year or do they have to go? Will I ever learn to create polls or will I forever remain ignorant of how to do so?
Me personally I think it is too soon to tell. I feel that it is not very likely that Ben or whomever is in charge is going to be resting on their laurels. The likelihood of a rotation of Buch Edrod Porcello Kelly and Miley is slim. Cherington either via trade or free agency is going to come up with a pitcher. As for the offense, there is not much to be done about Panda, but I think his lack of offense will be made up for by an improvement at first base and hopefully right field. Hanley just needs to move to first base or DH and he will then become a net positive for this team. All this being said though, I will repeat that I feel it is way too early to figure out next years team.
