It was 94-88 with 6:16 left; thereafter the two teams combined for 46 points, despite pretty solid D from both teams. Amazing shotmaking on both sides.

Too bad the Blazers couldn't figure out how to deny the in bounds pass to Murray. He's money from the line.

South Boston
Durant looked to hurt his elbow on Hardens head in the 1st quarter. He isn't wearing his arm sleeve (on the same arm as the injured arm). Anything going on there?

51-44 at half.

Rockets are 11-28 from 3, Warriors are 3-13.
Rockets are 9-17 from 2, Warriors are 18-30.

The Rockets are clearly selling out to take away 3s and giving up some open looks down low as a result.

With the 3-point disparity, it feels like the Warriors are lucky this game is as close as it is.

The Warriors are completely flummoxed by the Rockets' D in a way I don't remember seeing any time recently.

rockets strategy of just trying to kill the clock and the throw up bad 3s their last 3 possessions seems inefficient

You got to hand it to Harden, even if you don’t like him, the man has delivered in these last two games.

Houston’s defensive strategy of going small and being able to switch everything was their go-to last season and it worked really well against GS. I’m not sure why other teams haven’t tried it as much.

Dubs, imo, are the most vulnerable at home. Rockets need to come out strong early in game 5.

Even if you despise Harden, the fact that he can put up 30+ ppg while being assisted on only one of every ten baskets is ridiculous.

Doesn't ever seem like the going small route ever really works for the Celtics, but no idea why. Celtics longer wing players would seem like a better fit. Is PJ Tucker really that good a defender?

Getting real sick about all these excuses Embiid is making for himself. Nobody was saying shit when he was dominating a few days ago.

Denver beating Portland like a drum in this half. Lets see if they can maintain the intensity. My bet is that the Blazers come back in the second half - they have the firepower to do so quickly.

Lol, Gasol calls out Embiid for not stepping up on him before draining an open three. And I thought the Celtics lacked playoff intensity!

Also, the entire arena doing a mock airplane celebration to troll Embiid after he taunted Toronto in Game 3 with it, is great fan choreography:

Gasol was looking away from Embiid. He seems to be calling his teammate to come up to set a screen.

Refresh my memory of the former Demon Deacon star I’m drawing a blank.
Childress turned in a legendary performance at the ACC tournament in 1995, scoring 40 points against Duke, 30 against Virginia and 37 against North Carolina.

Yup and at one point he crossed a dude over, think UNC guard, motioned at him, and drained the 3. One of my favorite college hoops moments of all time.

Yes, I recall vividly when he lit up the Greensboro Coliseum that weekend. I missed the connection to the Gasol clip. Its's early I need coffee.

Childress is an interesting case study. He was born about 20 years too soon as his shooting range would have played well in todays game. As a tweener he never had a chance in Portland and Detroit on veteran-laden teams looking to contend but even in a few European stops never really made a name for himself. He'll forever be a Wake Forest icon though.
