Metcalf's combine workout was bad enough to make people have reasonable doubt over his agility and lateral quickness, though. I'm not that devastated they missed on DK, basically every team saw the same thing and had the same questions. Dude dropped from a top 20 pick to the third round for a reason. Now, don't get me started on missing out on AJ Brown.

I can actually understand the logic: Carroll doesn't trust his team to score TDs, but he does trust his kicker from a long way out. Why risk negative plays or turnovers just to make the inevitable FG attempt a bit easier?

That’s completely on #18 for missing the block, not on Wilson or Metcalf. Even if 18 attempts the block and fails terribly, that’s a tackle for a loss or an incomplete pass. It’s his complete neglect of his assignment that allows the pick-six.
