MotherFuckingYankees, behind Cole and a three-run homer by Giant Head, beat us on what would have been Sunday Night baseball, so we all would have bitched about the late start and ARod. Maybe better this way.

Alex Verdugo did homer for the 2nd straight day.

I had tickets to this game. I would have been pretty pissed had this been the result as I shuffled back to my apartment late tonight to start the work week.

No he’s asking to confirm you’ve never heard that common baseball slang for a base hit.

I know where you pulled it from. I was wondering why you were questioning it. As I've heard that term a number of times.

Weber goes 6, hands a 5-3 lead to Brasier and he screws the pooch. Astors up one, Devers homers to tie it, and old reliable Matt Barnes blows it for a Astors walk-off. We scored 6 runs on 4 hits.

Hard times for the Olde Towne Team.

Sox only 2.5 GB of the Yankees, who are scuffling along at 32-32.

Xander currently leads the majors with 22 doubles, Devers is 5th in hits, Xander 6th.

Mookie with an OPS of 1.079 out in LA.

Yeah, I've been checking on Mookie every couple of days. Hey, Alex Verdugo is up to .232.

Fun Fact- David Price is 5-4 but he's given up 41 runs in 71 innings.

But onto today's embarrassment: Eovaldi is shelled yet again as we get beat by the Brewers.

The season is saved. We beat the Rays, behind the MLB debut of Kyle Hart. (who?)

If you don't look further than the box score, here's some injury notes:

BOS- C Christian Vazquez and INF Michael Chavis placed on 10-Day IL. LHP Darwinzon Hernandez sent down, C Jonathan Lucroy, LHP Kyle Hart, and 3B/1B Bobby Dalbec called up
