I'm sad no Arroyo.

I always kinda felt bad over how he took the hometown discount and then got immediately traded.

I wasn't strictly against the trade at the time. I partook of the Wily Mo kool-aid, but I felt worse when, some years later, I was pointed to his personal website, which was all 2004 and Red Sox and Dropkick Murphys and so on...
I was typically totally against the trade at the time. Wasn't it obvious that Wily Mo couldn't hit the breaking ball? Very useful, durable pitcher let go for more or less nothing.

For as long as this game is ever played, there will always be a manager/coach/GM/exec who stubbornly/arrogantly/idiotically believes he has the solution for the ills of a particular baseball player.

Just curious where you heard that. I don't see any indication right now on the website that they'll be streaming it .

Man, I forgot that Mueller squared around and showed bunt on the 1 - 0 count after Roberts had stolen second. He said he then decided Mariano's cutter was so nasty he was better off swinging away. Thank God Mariano was so nasty?!?

Nowhere on redsox.com is a link to watch.
I don't know if I'm clicking the right thing, but I click on the youtubiush icon, and then I get
"This game is subject to a local blackout restriction for MLB.TV.  Please enjoy Gameday Audio as part of your subscription"

"http://mlb.mlb.com/shared/flash/mediaplayer/v4.5/R3/MP4.jsp?calendar_event_id=14-381323-2014-05-28&content_id=&media_id=&view_key=&media_type=video&source=MLB&sponsor=MLB&clickOrigin=&affiliateId=&team=bos" is the link I'm using

Then again, I never stream, so probably making a third grade mistake.

I'm on the MLB.TV link from redsox.com, but it's just saying "the game will begin shortly".  Is anyone actually able to watch this?  How?

There's like nobody in the stands right now.  What the hell.

Timlin hasn't aged a day.

edit: not hearing any boos for Damon.  That's good.

Can't believe I forgot that. I must have blocked it out. Great to see Manny making amends with the fans, Jack, etc. And credit to Pedro for helping make it happen.

Who are the other two jamokes with Manny and Pedro?

I'm really surprised I don't know who they are but then again it doesn't seem like the media does either.

One lucky sonuvabitch, that's who.  That would be my facebook profile photo basically forever.

Though the guy looks like he hasn't seen natural daylight in about 15 years.  Kidding aside, he might be an agent or front-office staff.

I picked up a last minute ticket...it was great seeing all those guys again! Was most surprised to see Schill..really glad he was able to come...it wouldn't have been the same without him. Hope he's feeling on the mend...

And between Pedro and Millar, not sure who made me laugh more...anytime those guys are around, I'd like to try and see them...

I was lucky enough to have a ticket to this one, way up in row 32 of the bleachers. A chilly night for sure, but well worth it. Great to see so many of the 2004 squad in the park, especially G38.

Unfortunately, too many fans didn't follow Sam Kennedy's advice to get there early, so I'm guessing the stands were about 40% full for most of the ceremony.

"Page not found." Is it gone?
If it's not working, just search Manny Ramirez on MLB.com video. It's the link of him and Papi on Intentional Talk with Millar.

I don't want to spoil it for anyone who is yet to watch the full ceremony, but:

Damon cutting off Manny's first pitch was especially awesome.
