You can put together an all-time team comprised of just Yankees and Red Sox, against an all-time team made up of everyone else in the game. What's the matchup, and do the New Boston RedKees have a chance? Go with traditional 25-man rosters.
Here's the thing: Bos/NY, because they're a team made up of two franchises, get the first pick at each position, and no player can be on both the Bos/NY and The World teams. So for example, Manny Ramirez could be picked by the Bos/NY team, because he played for Boston, but then he couldn't be *also* placed on The World team. Hope that makes sense.
When we think about these players, think about them (specific to Bos/NY) during their time with those teams. So Craig Kimbrel...he has been AWESOME in his entire career for the most part, but his best overall stretch was with Atlanta. You'd only really be getting his "Boston" years, which, honestly, were still frigging awesome until the playoffs in 2018.

Obviously YMMV with a bunch of these selections, right? That goes without saying. Picking the 5 starters for the World team is super difficult. So many other greats to choose from. And how is Trout not the starting CF? Well, because Willie Freaking Mays is.
I think the World team is better overall, but I think the Bos/NY team would give them a pretty good run for their money.
