Wow, some tremendous pix here!

I had my iPhone video cam running for Victorino's GS in ALCS G6 and posted it in that game thread after the fact.  Here it is again...(I'm not sure if it's OK to post vids in this thread; please let me know if you'd like me to remove it):

Curt pregame on the ESPN stage.

Someone made quite the trip. Saw this on Yawkey Way prior to the game.

Counting down the outs. There was a lot of this going on in the bleachers once it got to three.

This is where a large contingent of Cardinal fans were sitting (friends and family maybe). Early in the game they had the whole towel waving going on. Shocked they were pretty much cleared out at the end, good riddance.

Shane hanging by himself for a minute while everyone else was in the infield.

Family time in the outfield.

The on field stage about to be broken down underneath the bleachers.

He's going to bask in his 15 minutes as much as humanly possible.

Kinda like this guy has...

I couldn't believe last night was the first night this message was on the Pru. Taken on the way back to the garage trying to navigate the revised BPD mandated route.

This was family and front office.  If they hadn't left in the 8th inning it would have been very difficult for them to get to the Family room, etc.

Testing... my favorite shot from Wednesday night, Farrell's first attempt to take the ball from Lackey.

It worked! So, a few more...

It's like someone put Zeus in a hoodie.

"NOW ON FOX, DAVID ORTIZ COLLECTS HIS THOUGHTS QUIETLY BEFORE GAME SIX OF THE WORLD SERIES!" (Seriously, one thing that's really amazing about being at the game is the way the media and cameras are everywhere.)

("Dammit, I'm going to get Brandon Workman in front of that World Series banner if it's the last thing I do.")

Drew joy.

Grainy Gomes joy.

Fireworks!

(... where the hell did the Monster go?)

Still workin' on 'em... gallery here.

Kelly, that pic of Gomes, although grainy, may be one of my favorties in here.  He looks like a damn angel coming in from left field.

Great pictures! Comment on this one, the rookie Xander with his head cocked looks like he has no idea how this one is going to turn out. Actually, same with the grizzled veterans in the picture, but Xander looked so innocent and cute.

Thanks! (I think Xander was checking to see if Lackey was actually breathing fire.)

A few from the parade:

(Xander signed a ball for someone on the route--here he's trying to make sure he throws it to the right person. I did a lousy job in the low light with his skin tone but I hope some of his elegance comes across.)

Those are awesome, Kelly - you have some amazing expressions on their faces...and what I would imagine to be really neat reflections in some of the sunglasses.  I'm working on some now and will post them hopefully shortly...

Where on the route were you located?
On the curvy part of Boylston, between Fenway and Mass Ave. Same place I wound up in 2007, for the same reason--it wasn't nearly as crowded as spots a few hundred yards away.

A great choice - were you up high, Kelly?  You had a pretty good vantage point, wherever it was...and with the fall colors behind the guys in some of those, it sets the scene perfectly.  Really lovely!!

Thanks to a very kind fellow-SoSHer, I landed inside the Park for some of the pre-rally festivities...I also worked my way over to the Cambridge side of the river before the boats hit the water, so as you might imagine, I have a bunch of pics.  I thought I'd share some of the pics I caught at the Park first and will have to catch up with others, as I can...first, a pano of the park when I first arrived:

Then, some familiar folks took the mike...please notice that Jon Lester was wearing the home jersey with "Boston" on the front, rather than the more traditional home jersey...thought that was pretty neat!

Bogaerts - seriously, how lucky does this guy feel?

And, Pedey:

More to follow in the coming days...hope you enjoy them...

Thanks. I'm still pretty new at taking DSLR pictures and I was having a tough time dealing with lighting. The only downside of the day is my monopod went MIA when it detached from my backpack either on the field or on the way out of the park.

edit: I thought it would replace my mispelled "Buchholz"...

That's pretty cool, Bierman9...where exactly are you in there?

I have a few more to share from around the Park, and then some from the river...still working through them (between other projects).    If you click on any of the first 3 of these, you can scroll down for a few other related images:

This is from the post-rally walk around the field:

And then I headed over to the Cambridge side of the river:

That's it for tonight...hope you enjoy them...

Enjoyed very much!  Thnx!! In the picture I referenced, at the end of the street at the top, past the cross-walk, are a number of Bostons Finest. My daughter is just to the left of the 3rd officer from the right, wearing a teal Boston Strong hat, on the near-side of the barricades. I am behind that 3rd officer. Have a larger copy you can send me?  ;-)

Thnx again for all the pix!!

Wow these are all so good.  Went over to the park today and caught this one of the scoreboard, thought it may interest some here:

Fantastic stuff, didn't make it anywhere useful with a camera in October, so thanks folks for keeping this thread busy and full!

A few non-traditional Fenway shots.

Sign in the Sox dugout. I'm unsure if the edit was a Sox player or a random fan, either way it's probably how the players feel.

Wally taking some cuts. He was remarkably good considering he was trying to swing in that outfit.

"Fox talent"? That's an oxymoron.

An ALF clock in the clubhouse? There's got to be a story behind this, right?

Forgive my indulgence but I've been wanting to share this image all year.  It was one of the most precious moments of the season for me and my family.   It was Thursday, July 11th and the Red Sox were in town for a rare weekday day game.   I took the day off of work and got the best tickets I could for the family - row 11 on the 3rd base side.  It was an absolute gorgeous Seattle summer day to sit out in the sun and watch some baseball.

Around the 7th inning, the Mariner season ticket holders in the first row left and they gave us their tickets.   This picture is actually a screen capture of the NESN feed right after my daughter got a foul ball - the second one they got in two innings.  They were ecstatic.

See that strange expression on my children's faces?   That smile thing?  How rare is it to have kids sit down and watch a game for 4 hours in the blazing sun and all still have a smile on their faces at the end?

And, oh yeah, we won!
