Skype - have I been assimilated or just shoot me now.

Have Windows 7 running fine on a desktop.  Don't care to upgrade to Windows 8 and or 10
 
Last night did a of updates on the Windows 7...automatic updates
 
windows 7 Ultimate - Service Pack 1.
 
Today, Skype will not login.  I uninstall it, re-install it.  Nothing.  Try other versions, nothing.
 
What am I doing wrong?  Anyone want easy money to teamviewer in and fix this.  PM if so, banging my head against the wall!

I run Win 7 Ultimate SP1 on my main box, I almost never use Skype but it is installed, currently Version 7.0.0.102 which is reasonably current. Just tried it and get a Skype Home is currently unavailable screen. The problem isn't at your end.
