Except he's not as good.

What about JRs team in China?Cellar-Door said:I'm sure whatever team southern s Europe he ends up on 5 yeallrs from now will be thrilled.
Could also be bad cramp too.Greg29fan said:That's got to be pretty damn bad if Napier is reacting like that.
Stop. Seriously. Just stop. After all Duke/UNC games in Raleigh/Charlotte/Greensboro????Greg29fan said:UCONN in Madison Square Garden...don't get much more home court advantage than that in the tournament.

You're kidding about Duke, right?
And yet they are sending Villanova home.Cellar-Door said:Uconn is such a stupid team, it is infuriating. Fouling guys taking the 3 on D. Taking awful jumpers on offense.

yep, because the bad shots fell, and Nova is playing terrible.RedOctober3829 said:And yet they are sending Villanova home.

No, he's not. Just because no Duke fans show up doesn't mean it isn't a huge advantage to be playing a 10-minute (Raleigh) or 2-hour (Greensboro) drive from your campus.
Nova lives and dies by the 3. Not surprising they can't sustain such hot shooting. Napier is playing like a first team all American and the supporting guys are having good nights. UConn was the better team.Cellar-Door said:yep, because the bad shots fell, and Nova is playing terrible.

Having lived in the Triangle, you are wrong, son.

Having lived in Atlanta 7 years and spending much of that time traipsing through NC, I beg to differ.
You're seriously telling me that ANY school from that state, whether it's Duke or NC-Wilmington, would rather be slotted in St. Louis, or San Antonio, or Spokane than in Greensboro or Raleigh? Don't make me laugh.

People really do hate Duke here. They probably would have more of a home court advantage playing in MSG than they do in-state.

C'mon. Duke fans don't go to games outside Cameron. There might be poor people there.riboflav said:
I was going to say, NYC probably is their best HC advantage outside Cameron.
That is one game, Nova has been the better team all season. They had an elite defense, and a decent offense. They missed a ton of makeable 2's in this game, and that is why they lost. Also Uconn (Napier mostly) made a ton of tough shots.Clears Cleaver said:
if they played ten times, uconn wins seven or eight. Villanova had SIX two point baskets all game, four by Pinkston. This is an easy team to defend and they have no NBA players. They get hot they can win, but anyone who watched that game that knows the game can tell you the better team won. and won easily

and yes, UCONN earned getting to go to New York, they didn't get a pod like Wisconsin or Syracuse.
