They didn't trade Victorino for nothing.  They got a serviceable utility infielder who has options and is under control for five more years.  In other words something they needed now with Pedroia on the DL and can use in the future.  If they could get something equivalent for Napoli, they'd have done it already.
 
Shaw isn't Castillo or JBJ.  The latter two potentially have a future as regular major league starters.  Shaw really does not.  Panda and Hanley have plenty of playing opportunities already.
