The celebratory cake at the #redsox Pedro Martinez HOF party.
The drive up from I-88 via 28 to country inn (well ,Milford at the very least) wasn't even worthy of Ramon. Very cringe inducing. Chestnut st looks better thoughMarbleheader said:I gotta say, with all they can do with cakes these days, that is not worthy of #45

I do not have mlb.tv on cable, but I have it on the internet. But they are notoriously late in posting what they will show on the interwebs, so I expect I'm not the only one with this question, so:
How are are we watching Pedro's speech?
Yeah, but they're lucky to have it. It was the last one left at the Pru Star Market.Marbleheader said:I gotta say, with all they can do with cakes these days, that is not worthy of #45
Yes--I do not have the network.Rasputin said:When you say you don't have mlb.tv, do you mean you don't have MLB network, because it's on mlb network.
I would imagine it's going to be on mlb.tv too.
NESN this morning said they're showing wall to wall Pedro pitched game videos from noon Eastern until many hours later, maybe 6 hours total. Can always DVR those in case the Tigers game is a dud, or for another time. Definitely watching the induction live on mlb network. Past HOF inductions have been a lot of fun. This one should be great. There is no Rev said:OK, so how are we watching this tomorrow. Is it on mlb.tv?

I had assumed streaming too, but right now if looks like they are asking for my cable provider to verify I have a subscription to the channel to stream. Which I don't...

On NESN, they'll show Pedro games just when he's pitching, BTW.

If the Red Sox were playing the Orioles and it was a tie game with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th at Memorial Stadium, I'd have been perfectly fine with intentionally walking Eddie Murray and being content with a one-run loss.DrewDawg said:Eddie Murray frightened me when I was growing up watch the Sox. I hated seeing him to come to bat.
I think Frank and Eddie Murray could still hit 30 home runs.rembrat said:Frank Thomas still looks a like fucking hoss.
THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOUterrisus said:5-ish years ago, when Pedro Martinez retired, I promised myself I would be here today.
I had gotten married the year before.
I had just finished my Master's a couple of months before.
Since then...
Cancer.
A stroke.
And instead I'm sitting here watching this on television instead.
Goodness, what a mess these past 5 years have been.
I'll never see another player like Pedro Martinez.
I miss watching him play so much.
It all seems like yesterday.
Thank you, Pedro.
Congratulations.
