Yeah, that's a great look.Hmm, that’s actually quite a handsome set — makes me think I more of an intrinsic issue with the silver (we’re an AFC East team, not Dallas or Oakland) and with graphic excesses like the obnoxious repetition of the helmet logo on the shoulders than I do with navy blue or Flying Elvis per se.
Photoshop. Nothing has leaked, but they have said it is a minor change and I 'm pretty sure they won't be changing the helmet color.Pardon an obtuse question: Is this a leak of what we're going to see Monday, or an unofficial, photoshop thing from the internet?
Yeah, you're right. The only thing that the Patriots had going for them, at that time, was the best logo in football if not sports.IIRC, one of the main reasons they got rid of Pat the Patriot was because of the complexity of the design and need for multiple colors to print properly on merchandise. The NFL pushed for something simpler for the league merchandise that necessarily included all team logos.
That may or may not be an issue 25 years later and with changes in cost/production of screen printing, etc.
While I agree a change would be surprising given the success/tradition of the last two decades, is there any basis for this - or just a gut feeling?...and I 'm pretty sure they won't be changing the helmet color.
Just that all the leaks seem to indicate that it is a minor tweak (and focused on "blue" as the teaser did). It's possible that they go to white helmets, but I don't expect it. Especially with rumors that the NFL is considering a change to the 1 helmet rule anyway. While I agree a change would be surprising given the success/tradition of the last two decades, is there any basis for this - or just a gut feeling?
I don’t think we can necessarily rule it out. And, given the one shell rule is still in place (at least through 2020 if not beyond), a change to white would open the door for the Pat Patriot throwbacks which, just from the posts above, remain popular.
Just saw this from Reiss, which I missed last week: “The Patriots' uniform change is expected to be subtle.”Just that all the leaks seem to indicate that it is a minor tweak (and focused on "blue" as the teaser did). Exactly my thoughts. Disappointed.Looks like we just unveiled a Bills laundry bag from 2007.
Co-sign. Or silver. The dark-blue/dark-blue looks like pajamas.I wish they had white pants for the blue jersey not blue on blue.
I believe those were available before too.Looks like red alternates were part of the release:

Correct. The name font has been tweaked too.Looks like the number font has been changed as well - notice there is no bottom portion at all to the number 1, and how the bottom piece of the number 2 is wider than before.
They actually wore them in back to back games in 2002 - GB and Denver. Lost both. There's a story out there about BB being pissed at Milloy and others because priorities were out of order. I was at that GB game, it rained, we got killed, and it sucked.I'm pretty indifferent to these uniforms. By far my favorite look is the Pat Patriots red ones, and the Pats never won shit with those. I also note that the Pats went blue shirts/blue pants in the game against the Packers in the 2002 season, lost and then didn't go blue on blue for years thereafter. So blue on blue always evokes that memory for me.
All that aside, these are enough in the zone of acceptable that I just can't get very worked up.
Me too. Parts of them I like, parts I don't like, but I don't care enough to really...well...care.I'm pretty indifferent to these uniforms. Yeah, they really do look like the ones the US Olympic football team wears...They're ugly and you people who like them are crazy. They look like some crap you'd put the generic USA player in for an international competition. Hate hate hate.
