Shohei Ohtani has signed a letter of intent to play Basketball at NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND forgoing his MLB career for a quiet life of playing basketball in the NJCAA division and having pizza on campus and playing pool with his teammates.
Shohei was quoted saying, "I really like the small town atmosphere and the 2 Cenex gas stations in town is very convenient."

It always seemed silly to assume that Ohtani was on the flight just because it was travelling between 2 cities. I don't care how infrequent they are. LA is LA and Toronto is a major metropolitan city.
My working theory is that Bob Nightengale is lying, because he's mad some Redditor made the scoop on the charter flight.
