The Angels were kind of an out-of-nowhere choice in 2018, so I’m going with “not the Dodgers or the Jays”

Jesus, we might have this guy in our division now too? That would be awful.
Come on, don't make me hate you, go play for the Dodgers.

If it's for real, Bichette and Vladdy extensions get a whole lot more likely right?

It would be cool to have him in the AL East and get to watch him more often.
This is how I feel too. Instead of driving down from New Brunswick to see one Sox jays game I would come for all 3 or 4 every time.

Makes Division a lot tougher obviously, but, he goes to the dodgers they will likely be unstoppable and add yammatto and everything else they need in the years to come.

I've always thought it was the Dodgers' player to lose for over a year now, but this Blue Jay smoke has been something the past couple of weeks.

Would the Jays going to just move on from Guerrero and/or Bichette long term? That is the bigger surprise to me, but Guerrero really had a crap year for him in 2023

Ohtani and Soto coming into the division in a 48 hour period is a god damned nightmare scenario.

Maybe it’s the Jays but why exactly does he have to be in Toronto to make a decision?

You don’t think they are gonnna do a blowout marketing tour?

This guy is the best baseball player to ever play baseball. And he’s changing teams. This isn’t a small thing.

if the plane thing is true, he's already decided and he's going there for a physical, you'd think.

He may not want a blowout marketing tour though. All the secrecy is likely a function of his approach. Certainly possible though. Would seemingly be hard to hide this kind of stuff in 2023.

how much would I love to see him charter and empty private plane to Toronto and then show up in LA to sign with the Dodgers

Ohtani playing in Canada deprives the USA of significant tax revenue and makes my tax bill higher. Do not approve.

Fans are having a lot of fun with the Ohtani rumors right now. Some opera singer in Toronto is claiming to have a legitimate tip about a big dinner reservation that has been made near Rogers Centre. Things are getting crazy.
