What coach that Dallas actually would believe is an upgrade over Garrett would actually take the job to work under the Jones family? The last real quality coach they had... Phillips? And before that Jimmy Johnson. If I were Gruden with caller ID I wouldn't even answer the phone if Jerry called.
I think Gruden wants back in, but only for a great situation. He may feel this is it---he worked for Al Davis after all! But I hear you, I don't think many good coaches would want to join the circus, even for a terrific roster.

I mean, if you took a meeting with the batshit crazy Irsay and that crappy roster how could you not take one with Dallas?

Same shovel pass / read / veer as the college game. That's essentially a cam newton run without running the qb

Great way to say it, and I thought of the Panthers too, but this goes a bit before Cam's time. Faking the Full House, on boot/sweep, with Wilson/Kelce in flats? That's the T-formation which goes back to the 19th century and Walter Camp, though known a bit better under Shaugnessy and Leahy, when it was called a gadget offense.

Check the article I posted earlier. I think it's the same as the PittShovel play.

(I only know about football what I read online, don't know the game nearly as well as you do)

I think Pitt has a better matchup on defense but in the playoffs it's about the QB and I'd rather face Alex Smith than Ben/Brown/Bell. Talent trumps matchup to me.
Agree. Bell and Brown are two of the best skill players -- maybe the best -- in the NFL.

Thanks for this read, Chris is fantastic as always on numerous counts.

Appreciate the kind words, but thankfully so much IS online to learn that it can serve quite useful; you seem like you've got a good football IQ yourself, don't undersell that part of your game. So much about histories of plays can be, which is quite fascinating when you see how offenses evolve, defenses respond over time...and ultimately what's been forgotten but successful and/or exploitable.
