The expectations for the Pats and the Cowboys were considerably different for the season. So if the Pats lost yesterday, it wouldn't be a failed season? You guys are insane.

My friend's church in the KC area cancelled services today, for the first time that anyone can remember. The NFL is hardly the only organization to take action based on how the weather forecast looked 48 hours ago.So the weather report from 55 hours ago, precipitating the time change of the game today, was wrong? Who knew 3 day weather reports can be wrong?
He even hurt the knee at Alabama.Really the medical miracles is what he needed. Namath was an incredible quarterback, at the time one of the best ever seen, and then he tore his knee and it really never healed correctly and was crippled.
Ok, if Atlanta lost yesterday, do you think the fans would have considered the season a success? The expectations for the Pats and the Cowboys were considerably different for the season.
Its an apples to oranges comparison. Pats have a 39 year old QB and went into the season as a Super Bowl contender and were playing a bad team. Dallas went into the season with lower expectations has a rookie QB and is playing Aaron Rodgers in God mode. Unless we are going to say like 31 teams had failed seasons your statement was silly. So if the Pats lost yesterday, it wouldn't be a failed season? You guys are insane.
Game may already be lost, no point in getting their trade bait hurtSo when does Jones call down to mandate putting Romo in? Start of the third quarter?
"The way the Pack is playing" is not defense. The problem is Dallas's offense no-showing against a team that has been allowing about 350 yards per game passing even during its winning streak.nonsense. no one saw dallas coming after last year and losing to GB the way the pack is playing is no shame
Ok, if Atlanta lost yesterday, do you think the fans would have considered the season a success?
Not sure their fans would notice.Ok, if Atlanta lost yesterday, do you think the fans would have considered the season a success?
Fans aren't rational. The organization would have. Disappointed, but a successful season.Ok, if Atlanta lost yesterday, do you think the fans would have considered the season a success?
That's such a bullshit, Northeastern take. Atlanta, amirite? Not sure their fans would notice.
Or give a shit for that matter.
Different things. Because of Pats history anything less than afccg/SB is a failure. An expected mediocre Dallas team getting the one seed is a success. So if the Pats lost yesterday, it wouldn't be a failed season? You guys are insane.
Yes.Fans aren't rational. The organization would have. Disappointed, but a successful season.
Turning it around, if Carr hadn't gotten hurt, Oakland had gotten a bye but then lost in this round, their season is a failure?
Yes, we would have.Ok, if Atlanta lost yesterday, do you think the fans would have considered the season a success?
C'mon. Not sure their fans would notice.
Or give a shit for that matter.
JINX!Remember all week when SoSH tried to explain that Prescott is a better QB than a young Tom Brady (completely ignoring different eras) and that we should all be worried.
Good times.
Yup. I'm guessing that this is going to be a shooting match from here on out.Impressive answer.
That's fine then. In your world, 31 teams have unsuccessful seasons.Yes.
This has easily been the best playoff game of the year. At least it's been fun to watch.Yup. I'm guessing that this is going to be a shooting match from here on out.
I didn't say Atlanta had to win the super bowl. But getting a bye and having the likely league MVP starting at QB losing in the first round is a bad result for the season. When the Pats lost to the Jets in 2010, were people cheering about how great a season it was? That's fine then. In your world, 31 teams have unsuccessful seasons.
Weather okMy friend's church in the KC area cancelled services today, for the first time that anyone can remember. The NFL is hardly the only organization to take action based on how the weather forecast looked 48 hours ago.
It's fair to say the league should've pushed the game to Monday if they were truly concerned about public safety in KC, but moving the game out of the noon-3pm slot today, and making arrangements to play at a time when the weather was expected to be better, was the right thing to do at the time.
One of my customers is from Atlanta; I emailed him regarding the big win and his reply was "Everyone down here hopes Green Bay loses, we'd rather give up HFA than play Green Bay"...............That's such a bullshit, Northeastern take. Atlanta, amirite?
