Everyone in the stadium, all the players, and millions of people at home knew that was incomplete in live action, but not one of the officials thought so at the time?  Can you imagine if we didn't have instant replay in the last two minutes, and Dallas is out of timeouts so they couldn't challenge?
I always lean towards letting it play out and then go review it. But that was pretty obvious. In other, much closer situations, the refs seems to blow the whistle to rule the play dead when their is way less certainty. So inconsistent.

Uhhhh. What??? That is umm what?

I have complete faith these refs got it exactly right.
They did. Nice that someone on field is competent

So, they just decided to not call that an interception?  It looked like the refs just gave up on that play.

What was that? Have all the receivers run to the same spot 25 yards downfield on the sideline? A mini Hail Mary? It just draws all the DBs to one area.

Granted, this is a game where Romo being healthy pretty clearly would have made the difference.  And the Cows got hosed on the call at the end of the first half, which certainly could have mattered points-wise.

But the quality of execution is pretty bad too.

That win by Seattle does not make them a good team. It's possible they can get better but Hawk fans should be, at least, a little concerned.

I really want the Washington Football Team to win this division.  I want all the incredibly sucky teams in the playoffs.

Any nominees for "best team" today?

I'd say from the 4 games  I i saw the Chiefs or Raiders.
Rams maybe?
SF is garbage, but STL D is really really good, and their run game looks legit.

Snippet on NBC of Tom's post game press conference -- never seen a redder, more animated Coughlin face

Thank you NBC

Man, Seahawks might not be very good at all, given the amount of trouble they had with this wounded Dallas team. Then again, the Jets...

I hope that when Manning sucks tonight, Collinsworth calls it out, rather than covering for him.

I do too. I just think it's far more likely that, after Manning floats a 5 yard out completion that takes all his might, Collinsworth screams, "You think this guy is done?!?!?"

Or perhaps "What a great read from Peyton---the receiver must have misread the defense there and so he was out of position"

Wait, Rodney is picking Denver because of Peyton Manning???  The noodle-armed corpse of Peyton Manning is the difference in the game???  Rodney needs to a) lay off the drugs and b) not listen to that senile Dungy next to him

Maybe I'm just overestimating GB's offense, but I'm shocked that both Rodney and Dungy picked the Broncos.\

EDIT: Too slow here, what everybody above said

EDIT 2: They just showed Manning walking through the tunnel. Is it my imagination, or is his posture really weird? It looked like he's got his shoulders pulled back and he's sticking out his belly--was he always like that?

Seattle O seems like a bottom-third unit to me, given the hapless offensive line, scrub receivers (T. Lockett excepted) and Pop Warner playbook.

He invoked the Simmons Rule, "Never bet against Peyton Manning."

(I'm assuming he just left out the "prime time" part. Oh, and the part where Simmons has disavowed that rule.)
