I think my boy Fitz got fucked up. Was talking to doctors before he came in, but I don't know, he got smashed.

Jets are a lucky jags win at home away from losing 5 in a row
Ivory turning into a pumpkin has killed this team. When everyone was healthy, things were nice, but seems like we have no depth at all. Houston has seemed to have turned something around with their D though; they were good against the Bengals and dominant against the Jets for a while.

I liked Fitztragic from tGG. Sounds like a good jets thread title.
The dude is totally insane. He got hammered earlier in the game for not sliding. I like the dude, I like his will, but a man needs to know his limitations.

yammer's favorite poster
i'd like to see the panthers go 16-0. then if we meet them in the SB, either both teams will be unbeaten and therefore fuck don shula, or the pats will have a chip on their shoulder about cam for MVP, carolina unbeaten, etc... while the panthers will have all the pressure.

Gotta root for Ravens to win a few games so they don't get too high a draft pick.

One of my customers is a Jets fan and he told me earlier in the year things are going to be different this year, the Jets hired a real coach, not some clown like the last guy.

Yeah right.

The more things change in Jetstown, the more they stay the same.

Other than the fact that he the worst coach in the NFL (Can't Seem to Get Fired Division), why the hell did Fisher call time out before Balt's last (non-spike) play? He basically handed then 5 yards and/or allowed them to spike it rather than do the run-onto-the-field-FG

Wait. Do the Vikings not have a stadium?
Correct, they are being built a boondoggle in downtown Edit: Minneapolis. It was super controversial and there were lots of empty threats of moving the team elsewhere.

In other news, what the hell was Rodgers thinking on that 3rd and long? He threw to the TE for 1 yard, and the guy had an LB draped all over him. Didn't feel like a smart play.

I agree with him but I remain afraid of Woody.

I thought it was a pretty smart time-out call. It was 3rd and short with about 40 seconds left, so without the time-out the Ravens could have run the clock down to a few seconds, spiked, and kicked a FG. By calling time-out, the Ravens needed to run a running play, and they wouldn't be able to stop the clock if they failed to convert. Unfortunately for the Rams, the Ravens were able to run for a first down so it didn't work out, but I thought the thought process was correct.

Do you think any NFL folks - other coaches, league office personnel - are cursing BB for pushing an alteration to the game that happens to be benefiting his team?

fair enough. It was 3rd and 1. I would have not called time and forced the Ravens to spike it to stop the clock a few yards further away or risk the fire drill field goal.

Inside Lou Gorman's Head
So Harrison Smith hurt - likely knee? - and announcers don't mention it because they want to talk about the Packers awesome QB?

That could be huge.

And as I type this, a passing mention.
