$11.5M cap hit and $5M in dead money in 2016 means he likely plays at least one more season in Seattle.
I'd say it's 50/50. I think they would want him back. A ton of dead money comes off of the books after this season, so if they really wanted to cut him, they could afford to. I think they are a better team with him as long as he's healthy.
I cant see them cutting him but I can see him walking away from the game if this current injury he has is going to be rough to heal
I see it this way too. I see Lynch walking away from the game before he is cut. I remember reading he was seriously thinking about retiring before they threw this contract at him. If he did walk, Seattle could conceivably go after his signing bonus but I don't think that's likely as they basically got him for an extra year at $5M.
Did the car race currently on NBC get delayed earlier or something? I can't imagine they're psyched that it's gone so late, but then I don't follow it at all and have no idea what the ratings look like.
