Hey, we're playing football right now.

I have it on mute. Can only imagine how Collinsworth is framing his LOOK INTO MY EYES garbage into tonight's broadcast.

They just stopped talking about it, hopefully. The gist of it was that they struggle to see how they're going to settle given the opposing sides positions. The good news is that they carefully didn't assume guilt (caveated with "If something happened") and acknowledged that its a mess for the NFL if Brady didn't do anything.

They were fair.

These offenses are not good with backup QBs.

It was a surprisingly even take. I'm surprised the NFL didn't ask them to come down harder on Brady.

I hate Dungy. Just an incredibly overrated coach who has a tremendously annoying smugness about him. Talk about a guy with an underserved sense of accomplishment and incredibly phony to boot.

Here
Anyone notice the lack of Brady in the opening promo? Reigning SB MVP, as I recall.

I saw a graphic today of five potential 2016 inductees, all with great resumes, and Dungy's blurb was "beat all 32 NFL teams."

I love that one of Bill Polians big achievements is drafting Peyton Manning. That guy was a true diamond in the rough.
He's not getting a lot of credit for that one from me either, but Polian did have an outstanding career and I wonder whether losing 4 SBs in a row may have driven him over the edge.

It's not a front of mind thing, obviously, but whenever I think about it, I have to confirm. Did they REALLY lose 4 consecutive SBs? Yes they did. It's a stunning thought. The pain.

Hmm. I moved to Charlotte in '95. By the time he flew the coop he was not regarded around here in a positive light. Could _I_ have been a better GM? Probably not. But I would have trusted some regular posters here more than I would trust Bill Polian.

Fwiw, the Bills fired him after the third one.

That itself is pretty crazy.  A GM puts together a team that goes to three straight Super Bowls and you can him out of frustration after losing three in a row.  Then you lose another!

I don't know if it will be telecast out of region, but Ravens/Washington Saturday night is very ominous. Things have never been worse here with RGII, and that is saying a lot. It is pretty clear that there are at most two people in town who thinks he should start -- Snyder and Allen -- but that obviously is enough. The media here are in full feeding frenzy mode. Not only is RGIII not playing well, but also many of his teammates appear to have little use for him, most notably o-lineman. A local radio show could conceivably be canceled over this (Snyder owns the station).

And oh yeah, the Ravens got throttled last week, this game is in Baltimore, and this is the full dress rehearsal.

Anybody up for some Christians and lions?

Bumping. RGIII has been ruled out for this game, with the independent neurologist reversing himself within 24 hours. He may have played last game in Wash uniform.

“@Redskins: #Redskins CB Chris Culliver and Ravens WR Steve Smith Sr. have been ejected from the game.

#WASvsBAL”

“@Ravens: WR Steve Smith has been ejected from the game after that skirmish where 5 players were flagged for unnecessary roughness.”

Cousins played a respectable first half. I doubt I'll be seeing RGIII in a local uniform again.

For a good laugh, check out Peyton's INT tonight. So much for these stories about him working hard in the offseason and building back his arm strength.

Every defense this year is going to flood the short zones and make him beat them over the top.

Did I just hear an announcer in the Saints/Texans game call Jimmy Graham "the best tight end in football"? wtf?
