It's a good pick, and I'm happy to use picks to move up - we weren't going to draft 10 guys - but I'd sure like to see a playmaker or two soon. There's good depth at WR, so there's still a chance.
Oh, I see. Yes, he is a great guy. I loved watching him play.i met him at a make a wish thing great guy
And there's Julio JonesIt's a good pick, and I'm happy to use picks to move up - we weren't going to draft 10 guys - but I'd sure like to see a playmaker or two soon. There's good depth at WR, so there's still a chance.
Right, as long as we're exclusively taking Alabama guys. And there's Julio Jones
Make him do our work!Patriots don’t have celebrity announcers. They just send up the clown.
Some guys it is about system fit. JOK in particular is in free-fall because nobody knows where to play him, Barmore probably had a limited pool too, others like Jenkins apparently have off-field. And a few may be medical, big story last few days was some teams were crossing guys off because they couldn't get the full medical info they wanted.Well one thing for sure is that the NFL evaluators have some significantly different ratings on some players than PFF, PFN, etc.
Thank you for this--I've just made that mental adjustment and it's working.A Celtics classic, where you're not thrilled about their 1st pick, but then they get one of the guys you would have been happy with in the spot you would have been happy to get the 1st guy.
If they had picked Barmore at 15 and Jones at 38 I'd have said it was great.
That sounds like a lot
he was your leading all time wr i wish i knew more about him at the time i thank him for signed with denver at the time i knew littie about him it was a john daly eventOh, I see. Yes, he is a great guy. I loved watching him play.
i know rightI mean, Rashied Davis announcing picks? 92 career catches.
I’m just imagining the conversation:Make him do our work!
Very close on the calculator I found online. Pats gave up 526 and received 520. Not sure what chart it's based on though. That sounds like a lot
Is it, board points-wise?
Aha, perfect.A Celtics classic, where you're not thrilled about their 1st pick, but then they get one of the guys you would have been happy with in the spot you would have been happy to get the 1st guy.
If they had picked Barmore at 15 and Jones at 38 I'd have said it was great.
Slight overpay, I think. 177 instead of 139 would be fair value, but maybe doesn't entice enough. That sounds like a lot
Is it, board points-wise?
a little... 157 to 169 on the hill chart, so probably should have gotten a pick in the 160s or later back. That sounds like a lot
Is it, board points-wise?
It’s a little more, but they had too many picks, and Barmore is a first round talent, so I have zero issue with it.That sounds like a lot
Is it, board points-wise?
I think the Patriots knew they didn't want to make all those picks, and other teams did too. Hard to really make a great value deal in that situation. That sounds like a lot
Is it, board points-wise?
Exactly this. It’s a little more, but they had too many picks, and Barmore is a first round talent, so I have zero issue with it.
Trade back up for Jr, Bill.Next pick for the Pats (96) is the Brady compensation pick.
I fell like Miami is having a ‘kissing your cousin‘ draft. I’d be disappointed.Miami finnaly gets Tua some protection.
That made me laugh.I’m just imagining the conversation:
“Bill, it’s Roger, do you want to have a local legend read the pick?”
“What the fuck? Is this a prank call?”
Nah, the next pick is 77 overall, which for some fucking reason they had to forfeit because of some fucking Youtube video they were filming.Next pick for the Pats (96) is the Brady compensation pick.
probably not worth it for anything below 50 unless he's said he'll hold outIf the Pats were going to trade Gilmore for a draft pick, about what number pick are we looking at?
I agree that SMU's board seems much better than the mock draft boards I've been playing around on the last few weeks. Impressive.Just catching up. Looks like every team is working from SMU’s board.
I don't think he has said he'd hold out. Probably unlikely they trade him, but I would like to see them get another pick between now and 96. Lots of good CBs and WRs left.probably not worth it for anything below 50 unless he's said he'll hold out
