WBV - If the Steelers lose by fewer than 16, this is going in our great moments in gambling thread.

Comes down to an onsides kick.

Why do teams always kick it on the ground and not pop it up like Alabaha did? On the ground, bouncing, you have an unrealistic shot at recovery.

I think you can fair catch if it doesn't bounce.

I think because it's more difficult to be accurate. With the bounce kick you can get some crazy caroms that just may go in your favor.

Better game than expected after the first 5 minutes. If they Seahawks do anything right in the first half they probably win.

Gotta say, as bad as the rules and the product and the bureaucracy can be, the NFL has had some entertaining games so far this weekend.

You don't see a "hands" linebacker out there very often for an on-sides kickoff.

Cheering for the Steelers is the lesser of two evils and still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Half-expected the Seahawks to leave the bench area for the tunnel, Pistons-style

Seahawks just keep sliding back from the SB win
I also think that reaching the SB is hard.

Seattle is a very good team, as much as I hate Pete Carroll for some reason, I have to admit they are, and could have very easily reached a 3rd straight SB.

Great job by Seattle coming out and fighting in the second half---speaks well of the team.

I'd like to see a kicker try a line drive right at the front line of blockers, hoping for the ball to ricochet off them right to your guys. It might actually work because they're never looking at the ball.

I actually saw that work in a high school game about 40 years ago. East Longmeadow HS at Minnechaug Regional HS.

“@jjones9: I’m told Panthers DE Jared Allen suffered a foot injury that will likely require surgery and end his season.”
