It’s a guard’s game when they count. Glad to see Goliath of West Gathayette go down but f Apple News for spoiling it for me (wasn’t watching it live). App already deleted because of that.
This was a bad 1 seed, way worse than UVA even though game was closer in the end.

Seton Hall is now what, at best the 5th best program in NJ?

Drake tried to sit on a 6-point lead, which they promptly lost.

Then, inexplicably, they continued to try to sit on a lead they no longer had. This was not a winning strategy.

The two backcourt turnovers against the press in the closing minutes didn’t help either.

Give Holloway three years and Hall's going to be a power again.

Teams in the NCAA tournament after the announcer says “they don’t need a three” are zero for a zillion. Those are some of the worst words in sports. Also, weasels who say it are like coaches that won’t go for it on fourth down.

”They don’t need a three” means, “they should take a three.”

Seems like an Ale issue and not an app issue. Settings are your friend!

It feels like those are code words for "please stay within the spread." Because it looks worse when you miss a three then foul and end up losing 5-7 instead of taking a layup and losing 2-4. Unless you are the 1 vs 16 and can "tough" out a win via offensive rebounds etc, just take the 3 to more easily tie it.

Oddly enough, my wife was watching Dateline in the other room about Lorenzen Wright with a 2010 reaction to his Memphis murder by friend Penny Hardaway. At the same time, Hardaway is coaching this game.

Watch the replay. McFadden kind of swung his arms in frustration and stood there after the basket instead of racing down the court. When he got the ball it was too late to get a good shot off.

Then there was Purdue who didn’t take a 2-pt FGA in something like the final 7 minutes of the game despite having the 7-4 Player of the Year on the low block.
