Officials missed at least two clear fouls there. On the drive and the first chance at the rebound.
I think the drive was clean but that was 100% a loose ball foul on the rebound. I don't know what Gene was seeing. You can't just slap a guy's arm when he's trying to corral the ball. Kennesaw got robbed.

Wife went to Kennesaw when she was younger. I told her to turn the game on when they were up 13. Oops. Sleeping in the doghouse tnoight.

If it wasn’t for that timeout jawing by teammates I’d say just on the mid2nd half adjustments alone he should be out in the hall of fame

What's the tournament record for longest period before your first field goal? Iowa State threatening it. Almost a quarter of the way through the game and Iowa State is 0-11.

Iowa State Appears to not have arrived at the gym.
I was on a phone call with a guy that works for me who went to Iowa St. I called out when they were down 10-1. About 10 minute later, I was able to let him know that they had successfully doubled their score. And I've got them going to the Sweet 16 in almost all of my brackets. Christ!

Clones down by only 7 at the half is pretty good. Neither team distinguished themselves in that half, truth be told.

TBS isn't going to make Jamie Erdahl eat whip cream while millions of college-age boys watch, are they?

Good tourney for the Catholics so far. Marquette, Xavier, and St. Mary’s are through. Iona leads UConn at halftime. Gonzaga and Providence play tonight.

Uconn needs to slow the game down. They can’t play at this pace for 40 minutes because it takes their big man advantage out. Hawkins has to get going. He’s killing them.
Hawkins was apparently having his back worked on during one of the timeouts, and he was grabbing it a bit during parts of the game. Looks like he's hurt and trying to play through it. Hurley might have to keep him on the bench for more of the second half, which is concerning.

The 4 point play is the difference in the game. Got them going and more importantly Hawkins. Sanogo is a beast. This was the one I was afraid of. I think they match up well with St Mary’s. Monkey is off their backs now. Go fucking play free now. I honestly think they can get to Houston.

On paper it looks like just another win by a high seed. On the court that was a pretty good team. This has been an amazing half by UConn.

Clingan also put up fantastic numbers today, there is just no break for opponents with those two.
When Sanogo sat around 14 minutes Iona was drawing fouls effectively and was also able to get it to single digits and play decent defense. Clingan was the difference in that four minutes.

sure FDU is reasonably skilled and all but I feel it shouldn’t be this difficult for Purdue to exploit a glaring mismatch.
