Hogan is a 3rd day pick. With McCaffrey, it comes down to how much he weighs and what he runs at the combine. He could be a late day one / day two pick.

Wow.

Brian Kelly is one hell of a play caller. Had Stanford off-balance that whole drive.

Here come the laterals. Keep the band off the field.

This kick is meaningless. ND is going to the same bowl win or lose barring a miracle.

What can you say. Stanford earned that. Congradts OFT

edit: and sorry Domer. Didn't want to disclose it, but I'm cut from the same cloth.

Shit. Time for some whiskey.

I don't know, winning by a couple of points at home against a team starting a second string QB and a third string RB seems like a lackluster win to me.

And yes that is sarcasm. A win is a win. There is no such thing as style points.

Style points matter, but mainly against crappy teams like FAU against Florida last week. Can't let teams like that hang around. Against teams with resources, a win is a win.

In retrospect, agree that it would have been tough for ND to crack the top four, even with a win as dramatic as this. Fun game, though.

Bring on the Brocktologist.

This year there's no one dominant team. It makes my argument for a 16 team playoff even stronger. Here's my plan.

Play 11 regular season games with regular season ending this weekend.
Round of 16 and Round of 8 on campus sites. Takes care of any lost revenue of guarantee games lost by only 11 games plus the tv revenue from a 16 team playoff would be astronomical. Round of 16 games could have a first day NCAA tourney feel with multiple games in same tv window on different channels.
Final 4 on New Years Day in 2 bowls.
Championship the next week.
