Not sure the best place for this but since the international FA thread is locked, Hiroshima will NOT post Kenta Maeda this offseason. Article in Japanese.
Slightly unusual but Maeda met with the team president yesterday for about 30 minutes, and was told that a) they would not post him, and b) they would consider posting him next season if the team finished higher than their 3rd place finish from this year, and if he himself also put up better #'s.

Braves 'finishing up' trade of Justin Upton
Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan reports that the Braves are "finishing up" a trade involving Justin Upton.
Fangraphs's Kiley McDaniel says Upton will be going to an AL West club "for a package headlined by young pitching." ESPN's Jerry Crasnick has ruled out the Rangers, but the Braves have had discussions with the Mariners and A's, as well, among AL West teams. It sounds like the deal is likely to be completed at some point on Friday. Upton will be a free agent after the 2015 season.
What do people think? A's just got Jesse Hahn, could he be flipped? Mariners for either Walker or Paxton?

Wow. Padres are very active. And I guess they are OK with Kemp playing CF. That is risky, but what a great improvement offensively from their OF. Upton, Kemp, and Myers. Nice offseason.MakMan44 said:
