I really gotta give Fatso props for ripping Joba because any non-Yankee fan that watched Joba pump his fists while losing 4-3 would be laughing themselves silly and saying "what is he doing?" Mike's take is right on here. Gotta give him credit.

"Maybe Bay should've been pumping his fist as he ran around the bases."

Love it.

This is a delectable treat, this is baklava after a Greek salad on a Honeymoon in Greece.
I almost never get to listen to Mike and this really is better than the game.

"Oki cost $1mill he's been invaluable....Igawa cost $40mill and he can't pitch in the majors. That's it in a nutshell."

He's obviously not seen us except for the Yankee games.

Varitek gets all the big hits with the bases loaded.
Nick Green makes all the big plays (thankfully Slugo was stapled to the bench)
Beckett makes all the big pitches.
Okajima is a great reliever.

"Joba was pumping his fist after 5 and 2/3rds innings. What would he do if he pitched a perfect game? You'd have to sedate him."

EDIT: Beaten to it, but I think he was talking about Joba, not the YEStards.

If that's going to be his reaction after 5 2/3 of losing ball you'd have to sedate him if he pitched an actual perfect game.

Edit: beat me to it.

Yankees announced their attendance as 46,000 last night.

This is top notch.

The place is like a broadway show with the orchestra seats empty. Let the fans move down during th game. They've got to fill those seats.

Wish I could be seeing this on video.

If I'm the Red Sox, I couldn't be more overconfident when the playing the Yankees.
He is red faced. I am fairly certain he hates Chamberlain at this point.

"Joba was basically showing you that his personal quest of having good stuff is more important than winning the game. He triumphantly leaves the game to let someone else do the winning for him."

I've been shocked at how much agreement he has been getting from the fans. Last caller aside.

Joined late...has Francesa talked about the absurd strike zone Joba got as another reason not to get too excited?

Has not mentioned Joba's generous zone -- but did mention Beckett's strike 2 against Pena.
