Yeah, I meant to say no quarterback turnovers, no sacks.Aside from the fumble, yeah.
Is that good?Five drives. 27 plays, 92 yards, 3.4 yards a play. Zero points. Against the #32 defense in the NFL.
Ekeler has lost a couple of steps. That or he's hurt, he has been awful this year. Williams is hurt. Palmer is hurt. The team isn't as stacked as they were last season. And a legit #1 WR in Allen, and a really, really good RB in Ekeler.
Not very. But apparently it's 1000 percent better than what it was. So there's that.Is that good?
How will we know the difference between a normal series?Patriots will kneel it out here
I don't think they pass up an opportunity for a pick six.Patriots will kneel it out here
Invite @DeJesus Built My Hotrod over to watchI could be cleaning my bathroom right now. And then, after, I’d have a clean bathroom.
I actually don’t agree. Obviously it’s better than with Broken Mac we saw the last few weeks but it looked a lot better weeks 1-3, 6-7.The offense is awful, but it is still a thousand percent better with Zappe.
8D chessThat Pats TO was to give SD a better chance to score after the punt.
Are you suggesting @Reverend's bathroom looks like a Port-a-Potty?Invite @DeJesus Built My Hotrod over to watch
They wanted a chance to try to score I guess and that TO saved them a few seconds? Why the fuck did we take a time out, when this play will go to the two minute warning?
That won’t stop Ben Volin from writing 8 more breathless pieces about Bill get fired. If I am BB, I am not super excited about San Diego as a potential landing spot. I think Herbert is fine but they don't look much more talented than this Patriots roster.
Looked like they gave it to them at 2:09. Maybe the Chargers kept the offense on the field momentarily? Strange. The time out with 2:01 on the clock will go down in NFL history, what the fuck was that about?
Someday, a defender will fall down, and it will work. Someday.BoB lovvvvves that call and it’s total shit every time.
It was 2:09. Only thing I can think is they wanted to run the screen on the plus side of the 2:00 warning, so clock would stop if tackled in bounds. But just call the time out after the catch if it is that important to you. As it worked out, it was incomplete so they wasted the time out.The time out with 2:01 on the clock will go down in NFL history, what the fuck was that about?
But you have no control over the two minute warning stoppage, whereas you can deploy your three TO whenever you deem appropriate. Trading a TO for the two minute warning and 9 seconds is nonsensical hereThey wanted a chance to try to score I guess and that TO saved them a few seconds?
Option 1: call timeout with 2:09, then the punt takes them to 2:00
Option 2: let the clock run down to 2:00, then the punt takes them down to 1:51
So it saves them about 9 seconds, but it costs them a time out. So who the heck knows. I'm sure they'll go 3 and out and give LA another legit chance to score with time remaining still.
I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just trying to think of an explanation for why they did it.But you have no control over the two minute warning stoppage, whereas you can deploy your three TO whenever you deem appropriate. Trading a TO for the two minute warning and 9 seconds is nonsensical here
