What would the relief version be? A Gobble?Allowing 9+ runs in less than a 2-inning start should forever be known as "pulling a Szapucki".
Dude (Pham) held a grudge for over a year.Further evidence that no one wants to hear about your damn fantasy league. Even other people in your league.
This is par for Pham thoughThat’s the most boring story I’ve ever heard in my entire life.
https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/mlb/reds/2021/06/30/padres-tommy-pham-says-some-reds-fans-crossed-line-heckling/7813180002/San Diego Padres left fielder Tommy Pham is no stranger to heckling, but he says there were Cincinnati Reds fans who crossed a line during Tuesday’s game at Great American Ball Park.
After the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday, Pham approached a police officer next to the visitor’s dugout and pointed out a fan. The police officer, on the field, walked to the fan’s section and chatted with the fan for about 20 seconds between innings. The fan was not ejected, though two other officers briefly stood near the fan in the crowd.
“Just some fans crossing the line,” Pham said. “I guess a little liquid courage, man. I had some fans yelling at me, ‘F you, Pham! F you, Pham!’ That’s my issue that I have. I don’t believe that should be tolerated in a baseball stadium.
“When you start cursing at me, it’s one thing. It’s different from ‘Pham sucks.’ That’s perfectly acceptable. The curse words, I have a problem with because that’s not something you would say to me face to face. Where I'm from, in the state of Nevada, it’s labeled as assault. Someone comes up to me, cursing at me like that, I could defend myself. I’m a very good fighter. I don’t do Muay Thai, Kung Fu and box for no reason.”
Man, imagine the insecurity. You’re a whole pro ballplayer, bro. You don’t have to tell people you do karate. This is par for Pham though

and thats not including the strip club thing from a few years ago.
And you wonder why this dude has been on so many teams during his career.
Pham also held this grudge for more than a year.Man, imagine the insecurity. You’re a whole pro ballplayer, bro. You don’t have to tell people you do karate.
We need more sports league crossover drama like this.I think this was week 8 of 2020
clues: Joc said it was over a yr ago & Jeff Wilson was on the IR in one league
wk 6 Mostert got injured
pre-wk 7 Tommy picked up Wilson who went off for 117 & 3 TDs
pre-wk 8 Wilson landed on IR
unsure who Joc put on IR to start the controversy

I was thinking the same thing! And that it's almost certain we see a Tommy Pham is broke story at some point after he retires.no wonder he got stabbed outside a strip club

Yah. Also makes sense why Bloom did not go after him.Tommy Pham is a next-level crazy mother fucker. He has just raised the bar.
Also, I see the White Sox have DFA'd Dallas Keuchel after his memorable performance against Boston a few days ago.
MLB be fuckin' with his money now.Pham gets 3 games.
I agree. But I also find everything about this story to be hilarious.I don't know what this says about me but a story about adult-aged ,professional, millionaire athletes getting into a physical confrontation about a fantasy sports conflict is kind of heartwarming versus the other headlines on my feed.
Also, Joc Pederson is just an interesting character. We've collectively learned enough about celebrity to know not to characterize these people as good or bad but his statements to date were refreshingly candid and he seemed fine just moving on which is great. The cause of the beef will never not be funny. People do get *real* mad about fantasy sports.
I didn't realize Pham has been stabbed TWICE. Once in the strip club thing. And also by his stepdad. My immediate assumption was this was a childhood event, but no, Pham was stabbed by his stepdad when Pham was 25 years old.Tommy Pham is a next-level crazy mother fucker. He has just raised the bar.

Pederson could not have handled this better. Didn't reveal the money which is what everyone outside wants to know, but did reveal the GIF, which everyone needs to know.Pederson’s deadpan delivery is terrific. And it seemingly makes Pham seem even more like a nut job (at least in my mind).
Were they standing outside of a strip joint at F O'clock in the morning? Enquiring minds want to know?I didn't realize Pham has been stabbed TWICE. Once in the strip club thing. I couldn't agree more. Also I can't stop laughing about the whole thing. (Man is it just me or does Pederson look to be about 17 years old?!?)Pederson could not have handled this better. Didn't reveal the money which is what everyone outside wants to know, but did reveal the GIF, which everyone needs to know.
This is the best beef of 2022 in any arena, not just baseball.
It was a 12-team fantasy league with a $10,000 buy in and the last place finisher had to pay an additional $10,000.We'll never hear the true answer but I'd love to know how much cash was involved with this thing. Like golfing with Phil or playing cards with Jordan, the numbers would probably horrify people.
One of Pham's early quotes on this was that he didn't like people "fucking with my money". I couldn't agree more as it's always been my contention that owners who do the absolute minimum to maintain their team, give up on the season early or quit are shitty owners who in effect fuck with the balance of the league and hence the money. With that in mind, fuck Pham for quitting and fucking with the money. I'm curious if there were any other monetary considerations. Transaction fees for trades, waiver claims and IL pickups are something that my league has always charged which helped bump up the total pot substantially. We also had some in season payouts that referred to as "gimmicks". If you had a player with a 3HR game, no hitter or hit for the cycle each of the other owners owed you $5.00 which amounted to $65.00 in our 14 man league. A 4HR game or perfect game netted you an additional $10.00 from each owner or $130.00.It was a 12-team fantasy league with a $10,000 buy in and the last place finisher had to pay an additional $10,000.
