Would've really rather seen him not don the shirt again... constantly hurt during midfield injury crises, keeps getting called up and playing for Guinea, and is overall just a shell of the guy that played for Leipzig.

It's great to see more Scots are at Liverpool, it reminds me of the glory days. I like the look of Doak.
I’m ribbing you.

Doak is built like a bulldog and oozes confidence. Along with Elliott & Carvalho, that’s a very fun group of teens.

not sure why Unai waited so long for Ings.

Arrangement threatening heavily in the first twenty minutes. Looks like only a matter of time before they put one in the net.

Well that isn't ideal. Barely contact, but I think it is a PK. Need to put some of these opportunities in the 18 into the net.

Oof, Everton.
This might be as bad as it gets.

I really do not want to sack Frank. We cannot afford to keep doing that. The bottom line is that with Richy gone and Dom made of glass there is zero punch in the attack. No opportunism, no belief, no incision. Maupay McNeil snd Gordon were mostly putrid, but did create several opportunities, which were scuffed, fumbled, or hit tamely right at Sa. The lack of a betteroption is not on Frank.

But there were several games early where the Onana/Iwobi/Gueye midfield dominated and now that’s just gone. These guys are running in circles. Gueye appeared to be playing as an 8 which is not his game. Iwobi has been excellent as a quasi 10 but who knows what he was doing today. That is on Frank. As is the lack of belief.

It wasn’t just the loss. Or even the manner of the loss, a goal completely against st the run of play after surrendering the ball meekly and letting Wolves go coast to coast on the last 30 seconds of stoppage time. It’s that there has been improvement on the squad, there has been improvement in the organization, and there were stretches of effective play today- and still not enough. with a dash more composure and quality that’s a crooked-number margin win - but it is not there, it hasn’t been there, and I don’t know where to get it.

At City on Saturday. I expect them to rally to the challenge and play the part of the valiant lucky underdog, before succumbing to the inevitable own goal, bad call, or missed penalty in the last 10’. Then what.

Big test for Arsenal to see if they can score against a packed defense without Jesus.

Saliba can't have any complaints after the challenge but also painfully obvious that Bowen could have stayed on his feet if he wanted.

Zinchenko on for Tierney. Tierney showed me nothing to indicate he should be starting over a healthy Zinny or Tomiyasu. Gone it appears are him bombing down the next side and providing a beautiful cross into the box.

Chicago
these "Sunday" matchups making my Tuesday feel weird...tomorrow is going to feel like a Monday (if we get Martin Tyler on commentary)

edit: so Creed is a part owner of Bournemouth...if Fox Sports had the rights, they would play up Bournemouth-Leeds as the match of the century

It's true. There has never been a great player who seemed destined to break every record in the book only to be derailed by injury.
