The Slums of Shaolin
For Christmas, we had a lot of people over. It was nice seeing everyone, but at the end of the day I was ready for everyone to leave so I could sit in my house alone with my kids and enjoy some peace and quiet.

I have a very similar feeling about this forum. It’s nice to have it back.

Lets get back to the important stuff.

As a Spurs fan I spent a few months getting somewhat used to these miserable first halves but the World Cup seems to have reset my tolerance meter.

Appalling stuff, yet if they survive the next ten, could be on for a Spurs second half.

What is it about blue shirts that make them surround the referee?

That said, it was probably a good shout for a pen.

Imagine a central pairing of Maguire and Dier. They’d be solid, except for the random three or four Sunday League gaffes per game that lead to a goal.

Yerry Mina, who has missed more than half his games with various injuries over his 4 year deal, puts Everton up over Wolves with a nice score off a corner.

Six pointer, this.

Newcastle already 2-0 over Leicester.

What is going on with ASM at Newcastle? I know he was coming back from injury but surely he’s got by now
This is insane to say out loud, but he can’t get Almiron or Joelinton out of the side. For now his destiny looks like a super-sub in games where they are tied or behind.

Why insane?

ASM is still mostly potential. Alm iron has shown more in 1/4 season.

The problem for ASM is that Joelinton and Joe Willock are amazing together on the left side right now and offer the pressing and positional flexibility Eddie Howe wants. You don’t really need ASM in the team if Almiron, Trippier, and Guimaraes are able to create goals for you consistently on the right side.

ASM (and Isak eventually) will be better options when we play the likes of you and have less of the ball and more space to play into.

Palace down to 9. I don’t see that as a second yellow for Tomkins (I think Mitrovic absolutely made a meal of that) but fucking hell.

Wolves with a nice counter at 95 minutes to steal all three points from Everton, who had seemed fine settling for the draw.

I suppose there's some comfort in knowing that, when all is said and done, Everton is going to Everton, but I've yet to get to the place where I'm blasé about it. Grrrrrrr.

Watching Nunez is torturous. Uruguayan Andy Carroll was supposed to be a meme.

Tierney is clueless - Digne playing volleyball to stop the 1-2 between Salah and Henderson

So ... with his assist Robertson has moved to the front of the list for defenders. But what is the record for the top flight In England? Hundreds of google hits … All for the stupid Premier a league record ... what’s the point of a record book that’s only thirty years old?

Zero effort from Thiago to close down Luiz, that goal was coming to say the least.

This Liverpool side are approaching recent Brighton levels of defying xG

Darwin making runs 1-2 full yards offside with his arm out, get a clue
