I really need a Liverpool win, not looking good in goal for them. Minolet out, Jones in.

So I have no idea how United is lining up.  With Mata, Rooney, RVP, and Wilson in there its a very attacking lineup...even if it is a back 3.

California. Duh.
Nothing like a very early start and low expectations...

4-6-0 and Brad Jones in goal?  What could go wrong?

McNair is warming up.  Either Phil Jones can't make it, or Fellaini is coming off and Carrick is moving up.  Lets hope its the latter,

RVP's dye job is looking terrific.

Who is the Official Haircare Sponsor of Man U?

(oh, and the Chevy "I play for ManU/I play for you" ad? Fuckin brilliant. One of the best commercials I've ever seen. Kudos to whomever put together that gem.)

1. Get outplayed all over the pitch.
2. Have De Gea bail you out several times.
3. Get a clinical finish and a little luck.
4. Profit.

United have really mastered this strategy in recent weeks.

NBCSN heavily promoting that storied rivalry between the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild.

Eh, I'll believe anything Rebecca Lowe wants to tell me.

It really is a good ad. Don Draper special.

So looks like Balotelli is coming on.  I'm assuming for Henderson or Allen...but while Sterling had some great chances, will Balotelli put himself in those positions?

One common theme to these Sterling chances: very tame shots on his left foot.

That extra touch killed him, if he'd just put it towards the goal instead of steadying it, he scores.

Credit to Fellaini as well.  I thought for sure he was off after picking up a yellow in the 5th minute.  Calm and composed in the second half.

Rooney has played brilliantly today in center midfield.

Yeah, I dunno what you call that formation today but van Gaal earned his paycheck because it paid off brilliantly.

De Gea is having a Howard-against-Belgium kind of game.

Coulda been 6-3, Liverpool. Sometimes, you just gotta tip your cap. Might not be the best keeper in the EPL or the world but played like it today.
