Of course I have the satellite back for the rain delay. But, I agree with folks that it's probably better to do it this way. Tomorrow's supposed to be gorgeous, they could have a double header.

Time to amend the neighborhood development plan to add a retractable roof
I was wondering about this today. There are certainly more weather-related impacts that we'll be seeing in the next decade or so -- if we have that long. Baseball, among the four major team sports, is likely to have to make the most adjustments ... including a return to domed stadiums

Could Fenway’s foundation even handle a retractable roof? They’ve done a great job adding seats and slapping on a new coat of paint but it’s still a 100+ year old park.

They can just suspend the game, start it up tommrow afternoon. As long as they finish before 4 it won’t impact FS1 having it as the national game.
Unless it rains all weekend. What if this were the series that determines whether they buy or sell?

I live about a mile from the park and it was raining so hard I couldn't tell if the gutters were working 15 minutes ago. And there was literally non-stop lightning. The sky just kept flashing with no breaks in between. It's slowed considerably since then, but still a steady rain that you couldn't play through.

I just got back from Fenway. That was the hardest rain storm I've been in since I left New Orleans. There's ankle deep water along the edges of every street.

The guy {Cooper?} doing studio rain delay for WEEI has been pretty good. He had a nice line along the lines of "Ten minutes ago I said I have never seen it rain harder at Fenway, Well, Mother Nature took that as a challenge. It's raining even harder now."

The women’s World Cup game is on (US) if you all need something to do.

Completely random, but got to looking stuff in bref and the great Danny Sheaffer put up a -4.7 bWAR in his career. Can anyone find a modern player who was worse?

Fun Fact: DirectTV Streaming tays on the same spot if you switch to another window. I was wondering why the weather guy was talking for an hour. NESN has switched to Tom Caron talking to some guy in Portland. They should move the game there. No rain and the sun is still shining.

I went to Wegmans to wait out the rain since it’s has covered garage and it said it would sorta pass in an hour
Problem is store is tiny and deli is closed and I got bored real fast. Got bored in car and it said wouldn’t get better in 3 hours. So kept going west on 9 was ok, first part of 95 north was ok and then suddenly tons of cars showed up. No clue how I made it to Lexington rest area, lightning was following me whome way. And it’s still here now and now Thunder too

really dont get why 95 doesn’t have lights. Thankfully there are 4 lanes for most of it on that stretch. Was in the 2nd from right (to avoid puddles and potholes in right lanes and incoming traffic )
Don’t want to go vn so won’t say more but infrastructure could be better

i should be able to leave by 11. Hope so.

I jsut clicked the play button. The guy with no shirt and the 80's style I've Got a Sock Stuffed in My Crotch shorts is going to die from some amoeba thing. No idea when. Determining factor is where it enters first.
