It's small sample size, but at least in some games it seems like GW has been taking over for DT as the human foul machine. I feel like GW's signature play (aside from the 3-ball, which to your point, has been good for him this season) is seeing GW standing there with his arms raised, feet on the floor, while somebody bumps into him while driving to the basket and drawing the foul. Could totally just be bad luck - as I don't perceive that he's doing things that should lead to fouls - but it could be poor positioning which I am not at all qualified to judge.I think GWill is a mixed bag because he is shooting the 3 pretty well. I think a lot of his issues is how he fits on this team with the way it's currently constructed. I think Semi is a bright spot at the moment too, along with Theis possibly emerging as a guy who can stretch the floor.
It's just been a bit weird this year as I feel like playing time for players like GW, Semi, Green have been very up and down. It's a bit weird to get a DNP-CD in one game and then be an early sub in the next game. Or, not play at all in a half where 12 people get in the game, but then be an early sub in the second half. I just feel like we're not getting a good evaluation of what these guys can bring to the table. Since wins and losses are not important right now, I'd like see Semi / GW / whatever play 5-10 games of 25 minutes plus, or whatever the number is, to see if he can really be a regular rotation player. I feel like we still don't have an answer to that question.
