This reads like some type of personal misconduct. Not really comfortable speculating how serious...
The first thing that came to mind was when Jeff McInnis was at UNC and having an affair with Asst Coach Phil Ford’s wife…..something similar to that. Not saying this occurred but def would qualify as something the league wouldn’t touch while the team would. Obv not even a speculation but it came to mind.
Someone had to give him that phrasing over say “team rules” or “organizational policies”. I agree, really odd.
DUI? I'm praying it's something that minimal -- still awful and stupid but not something like a domestic dispute. Maybe slept with a team employee? God, all of this is awful.
“Discussions are ongoing within the Celtics”….so does that mean Celtics brass and management is figuring out what to do, league isn’t involved? Seems very bizarre. What could possibly be against the org’s rules but not the league’s? Or is it just to preemptively punish before the league gets involved (which rarely works).
Why would the team publicize such an issue, though? Unless it’s like Wyc or Brad or a players wife. Or course if it’s any of those he’d be canned, no?
Well if it's something they're suspending him over they kind of have to publicize it, not like people wouldn't realize it when he didn't show up opening night.

Yeah I mean, why would they suspend him over something like this, that wouldn’t be against league rules, isn’t illegal, and wouldn’t generally come out publicalls? If it’s behavior like this that has caused them to lose trust / confidence in him, then he should be fired, though.

If they suspend him, they’d be publicizing an infraction or indiscretion that would normally not have been known about.
It has to be something serious that they’re trying to get out in front of. Basic infidelity can’t be it. Really concerning on so many levels
I can’t imagine an “organizational guideline” prohibiting this. If sex-related it must be a team employee or contractor. And even that is not typically prohibited, just discouraged.
This would be bad but probably not fatal. But would also seem to involve the league…
Would obviously be a league issue and he’d have been fired the second they found out before the league banned him for life.
This is what I am guessing. Anyone else notice that Ime wore a mask in interviews long after he needed too? Like he followed the unvaxxed guidelines but lied to the team about his status. Which is weird, because.... a thought process I'm not quite ready to go down
