Light was on EEI yesterday afternoon with whatever crappy Sunday afternoon show it was. They are very close hunting buddies and he mentioned something about how some media types were jumping on Adam without all the facts. I had assumed it was from a different station, so he was probably waiting to pounce.Did Matt Light just call in on his own to fight with them? I missed the first part.
Light is just coming off as LaRoche's mouth piece. Is he friends with him?
Did he hip anyone to the facts of this issue? Because it seems to me the facts are pretty cut-and-dry: LaRoche asked to bring his kid around, Sox said okay, LaRoche took advantage and the kid was there 24/7, the Sox told him to chill out and scale back, LaRoche ignored them, Sox said kid can't come any more, LaRoche retired, Chris Sale thinks someone died. They are very close hunting buddies and he mentioned something about how some media types were jumping on Adam without all the facts.
He's home schooled.I keep waiting to hear that the kid is special needs or the mom has cancer or something. Otherwise, shouldn't he be in school or with friends? What 14 year old spends 6+ hours at his dad's office every day?
Mass pushed Light on this and kept asking if there was an unknown reason or condition why he had to be around all the time. Light just kept yelling.I keep waiting to hear that the kid is special needs or the mom has cancer or something. Otherwise, shouldn't he be in school or with friends? What 14 year old spends 6+ hours at his dad's office every day?
It basically just sounded like someone sticking up for their friend. He just talked about what a great, upstanding guy he was . . blah blah blah. And how irritating it was for the media to rush to judgement. That sort of stuff. He also thought LaRoche's written statement was a work of art . . so there's that too.Did he hip anyone to the facts of this issue? Not sure what more a hunting buddy could add.
Amy Carter wasn't even 14 way back when.Light saying that Drake is one of the most remarkable people in the world was downright laughable as well. He's a 14 year old kid following dad around and doesn't even go to school. I'm sure he's solving world problems when dads out taking BP.
Sadly this seems to be Light's schtick now. Hears something he disagrees with passionately and calls F&M to fight and F&M ask him basic questions and he either ignores them or presses on and sounds foolish. I could be mistaken but he did the same at the start of Deflategate and the Union and Light couldn't answer basic questions because they went against his narrative.Did Matt Light just call in on his own to fight with them? I missed the first part.

yeah i know right no way would i want to be in any clubhouse 6+ hours a day esp at 14 years old but if i was paul son i wouild be like yankees red sox or cubs or west coastI keep waiting to hear that the kid is special needs or the mom has cancer or something. Otherwise, shouldn't he be in school or with friends? What 14 year old spends 6+ hours at his dad's office every day?
There was one call that stood out. He went full Dice Clay and painted a scenario to Jim Murray that starred his mom.Did Wayne from Grafton say a naughty word?
Really? Who do you think you are bringing your stupid little facts to the Felger and Mazz show??!!Truly awful. I gave up 10 minutes in when they started blasting Claude over Krug's only having 4 goals. The implication was Krug was being neutered.
In all situations, only 5 defenseman in the entire league attempted more shots on goal than Torey Krug. I'm sure it was Julien's fault Krug shooting percentage was 1.64%.
Not only that, but he had more shots and more ice time than ever. Dude just didn't capitalize or got worn down or had shitty luck.Truly awful. I gave up 10 minutes in when they started blasting Claude over Krug's only having 4 goals. The implication was Krug was being neutered.

I missed it, can you expand? Did they feel him on the "building for the future" yet trading for middling players? Did they ask him exactly what the whole "plan" is?The Cam interview was tense. Must listen for a Bruins fan
Neely would love to tag the underachievement of the young players onto Chiarelli, but it's his own hand-picked GM (Sweeney) that has been in charge of player development for the past few years. He wants to blame Chiarelli for being in cap jail, but Neely had veto rights over all deals. He's been revealed as one of the major anti-Seguin voices and exposed as the guy who ultimately endorsed that trade. He applauded Sweeney for getting cap relief with the Smith/Hayes trade, but then it was pointed out that the salary difference between the two players wasn't actually that great, the deal made the team worse on the ice, and it's been compounded by giving Hayes a dubious extension. Trying to draft and develop around the core? No answer for the "then why give away a 2nd, two 3rds (Rinaldo, Liles), a 4 and a 5" and get two rentals and a useless player in return? Hamilton trade? "I don't want to talk about that anymore."“Do I need to stand up and pound my chest, be like a lot of others that say ‘It’s all me!’ Do I need to wear a C on my suit jacket?” Neely said. “I’m all about ‘let’s have discussions, let’s be collaborative.’ But ultimately, ownership looks at me. … Everybody in the Bruins organization knows who’s in charge, and that’s what matters to me. If other people are unsure, then I can stand on a mountain and yell it, I guess. As long as the people that work for the team know who it is, that’s all that matters for me.”
Bear some responsibility? You just said everyone in the organization knows who's in charge!“I’m angry. First of all, I hate missing playoff hockey. Obviously, I bear some responsibility for that,” Neely said. “I understand that you all have a job to do but the questions sometimes are aggravating because its more about stirring the pot than finding out [expletive] information.”
They firmly believe that the salary cap exists only in the imaginations of everybody else. It's not hard, for example, to find out that Kirk Cousins' non-exclusive tender is taking up $19+ million of Washington's cap unless there is a long term deal.Mazz somehow reached a new level of stupidity today.
"If they believe in Jimmy, I'd keep him the length of his contract and then franchise him"
So we're now not starting Jimmy G. and now franchising him for a 5th year without playing him. Great stuff Mazz!
Well good hitting SS do come along all the time. The Sox need to hold out for a good hitting SS with power. Because with all of their resources, there is no way they can afford Bogaerts hitting well and playing above average defensively at SS and Mookie Betts. We must choose now!Put on The Baseball Show on the way home today, someone should have called The Hot Take Police:
"If Bogearts doesn't start hitting for power, real power like home runs, the Sox need to let him go after this contract in 2020!"
I'm assuming Mazz is on some sort of medication that is causing him mental problems?
I guess Mazz is longing for the good old days when the Red Sox switched shortstops as many times as Murphy Brown switched secretaries. Recalled this the other day when the "4 Days in October" was on and remembered that I would have preferred 3 or 4 more years of Cabrera vs what we got instead.Well good hitting SS do come along all the time. I'm not trying to be a prick, but what did you expect? Has Felger alluded to JBJ being on steroids yet? Did Mazz say that Hanley is a dog? Did Marshall Hook piss on David Ortiz? How about their daring take that David Price isn't worth what the Sox paid him?First thing I hear when I turn F&M on....."They are pretty good but they ain't this good".
I'm fully aware of what they do. I don't disagree with their point as they truly aren't as good as they've shown this week. The only decent team they've played in a couple weeks is Chicago. In fact, they won't play a team that is more than 1 or 2 games above .500 until the end of the month.I'm not trying to be a prick, but what did you expect? Yes. Yes he has. They both have.I'm not trying to be a prick, but what did you expect? Has Felger alluded to JBJ being on steroids yet? Did Mazz say that Hanley is a dog? Did Marshall Hook piss on David Ortiz? How about their daring take that David Price isn't worth what the Sox paid him?
