I'm sure they'll have fun with the alternate explanation for McNally being the "deflator." And who can blame them?

You're absolutely right!Marbleheader said:Mazz continues to be the most useless member of the Boston media. The next time he provides insight or demonstrates a desire to put together an original thought will be the first.

TheRealness said:What do you expect? They know where their bread is buttered, and CBS are major partners with the NFL. Add in they love trolling Pats fans, and it's the perfect storm of suck. Why would anyone that has ever listened to this show tune in during this shit storm of the past week? You just know they were frothing at the mouth going after the Pats and their fans.
Stop tuning in, unless you're a masochist, then go for it, you will get insufferable pain listening.
RedOctober3829 said:Oh they did. Now Mazz says that it's possible that JM did not deflate in the bathroom but who is to say he didn't do it on the field. Umm, Tony, don't you think if that was possible they would have had video evidence of this? Given how many cameras are on the field for the AFC title game, it'd have been caught.
maybe get CSNNE to bring back those adsNortheasternPJ said:I loved Jimmy Stewart axing Carelton from wherever after 12 seconds since he started yelling about being cut off at 45 seconds.
I wish they'd re-inforce the no pleasantries policy. It was much more efficient.

It was a joke wasn't it?the1andonly3003 said:what led to Felger berating Hardy for "running F&M into the ground" and "setting the show back a few yrs"? Did it really take F&M an hour to get from Kenmore to Brighton?

Just to finish my thought on this ... in the past 35 years, the number of NBA Finals with Bird, Magic, Jordan, Duncan, Shaq, Kobe or LeBron: 33. (1990, 1994). The number of times one of them won: 27*.dabombdig said:Flipped over this afternoon to hear Felger's old schtick that in the NBA it always about the biggest best guy winning the title. It's like he hasn't watched the NBA at all over the last 15 years. It's such a shallow ignorant comment. I rarely listen to this show anymore and today was a solid reminder of why.
So, you need at least one superstar in a sport where you may only play 9 people deep to win a championship?Buffalo Head said:Just to finish my thought on this ... in the past 35 years, the number of NBA Finals with Bird, Magic, Jordan, Duncan, Shaq, Kobe or LeBron: 33. *-Dr. J/Moses won in '83 over Magic; Isiah won in '89-90, once over Magic; Hakeem in '94-95, once over Shaq; Garnett in '08 over Kobe; Nowitzki in '11 over LeBron.
So, really, the only "superstar-less" team to win since 1980 was the 2004 Pistons, and they beat Kobe/Shaq.
Ummmmmmm, yeah, I think you're making Felger's point.Dummy Hoy said:We're getting sidetracked from the fact that Felger is a troll that people still pay attention to for some reason here, but do you really not recognize that in basketball a single player has the biggest impact on a season/playoff series? Obviously a pitcher can control one game (or can be a major factor in a 7 game series), but they're not playing every game. Hockey goalie would be the other one, but they don't play both ways. If you don't have a first ballot hall of famer (or two) on your team, you basically can't win in basketball. That isn't true of the other major team sports.
edit: with only 12 active guys on a team, the individual's impact has to be bigger.
He knows that he was making Felgers point. Felger can be right once in a while, doesn't mean he isn't a stupid troll still.HomeBrew1901 said:Ummmmmmm, yeah, I think you're making Felger's point.

I get slow internet service and fuzzy radio service where I live. Because Felger and Mazz is simulcast, I get uninterrupted sports talk only by watching CSNNE. Otherwise I get sports talk mixed with white noise, or sports talk interrupted by lag. So essentially it is the only local game in town for me when I am at home. If I am at work, or in a car, I often listen to someone else.SeoulSoxFan said:Serious question. Why are people still listening to M&F?

I'm in the car a huge amount of most days and getting calls constantly, so podcasts etc. aren't really a good solution for me.
If you just don't let them bother you and take it for what it is, they are fine. if you actually get mad about what Felger says, then you need to lighten up. If they're terrible (which happens enough) I just change the channel and go to D&H, who I find to be not very entertaining radio.
I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but Thornton isn't nearly as bad as I thought he'd be. He actually makes the show a bit more entertaining. As the leader of the Jerry Thornton Haters Club I'm ashamed to write this post.
