Enormous early chance for Scotland and couldn't get a decent shot off. England just watching the play happen around them.
I said a few weeks ago that central defense is where we're weakest. That said I'm glad Gilmour is playing, and I can see the green shoots of a half decent side. But McTomminay is much better playing in front of the central defenders...but needs must at the moment. The McTomminay-as-CB experiment is not going great.
…and it’s goneUh oh, England forgot they’re England and remembered they’re talented
My fantasy team agrees with this characterizationKane looks really off the pace.
It's a bit of a tough position for England. A point virtually ensures that they will go through but things could get dicey if they concede. Maybe playing at home will keep them on the front foot but there comes a point where the smart thing to do might be to play a bit more conservatively.Ok. Feels like Foden was the biggest threat.
He might ask to emigrate to France to win some trophies.Taking off Mr. invisible for Rashford. Too many minutes on Kane's legs?
Mings seemed okay, but I wasn't able to watch all of it.Everyone on England was bad except for maybe Pickford and Shaw.
Agreed. And at least we know we have to really go for it. I think this match has given the Scots some confidence. England have a much better side than us...so it's a decent point.I’ll take it. Croatia game actually matters.
It's been a real problem from them for about 250 years.England seemed to have no attacking plan.
Not that it would ever happen, but I'd love to see what would happen if 12 teams advanced and the top 4 group winners got a first round bye. With all the variance in draws etc, make it a real prize to win the group. The reward of getting a point was always much greater for this game than the risk of not getting a result for both teams.
England gonna England.England seemed to have no attacking plan.
