There's another Hernangomez?I’m pretty sure this is the same Hernangomez that Ainge loved when he was in Denver. @nighthob you would know.
So maybe the C's were indeed showcasing Carsen in Vegas, as we speculated. Whatever the case, I'm thrilled with this. The salary details I’m guessing are the only
important pieces here.
Dunn leaving is no surprise at all, same with Edwards.
Maybe Carsen will become a useful bench guy at some point but seemed unlikely to be with the Celtics.
I'm so confused right now. I have all of my Hernangomezes mixed up.There's another Hernangomez?
So maybe once or twice?Looking forward to Edwards lighting up the Celtics every time he plays them for the next eight years.
Can Hernangomez play center, or is he really locked in at the 4?
Love itAre we now officially smurfless? I don't think PP qualifies.
They are going to need PP's shooting, which appears to be far better than the rest of the Smurfs.CBS constantly bemoaned the team's lack of size last season, especially at the guard spots. I really wouldn't be surprised if PBS shipped out Pritchard as well, no one under 6-3 is safe (I'm joking, but only because it is easier to hide just PP than it was to hide PP plus Kemba, Carson, Waters, and the rest of the smurfs).
Closing backcourt of some combo of JB, Smart, Richardson, Schroder, should be so much better defensively than what they were rolling out at the end of last season. Any contributions from Romeo or Nesmith would be a nice bonus.
Even if he is, he's a useful smurf. He's Three Ball Smurf. The other 3 are Injury Smurf, Useless Smurf and Garbage Time Smurf. Are we now officially smurfless? I don't think PP qualifies.
only if the Celtics move to EuroLeagueLooking forward to Edwards lighting up the Celtics every time he plays them for the next eight years.
He is only 2.5 apples tall, so he doesn't qualify. Are we now officially smurfless? I don't think PP qualifies.
He’s a bench big. He’s going to get time at both the 4 and 5. It’s inevitable.only if the Celtics move to EuroLeague

HA. I was thinking in terms of "Edwards lighting up the Celtics every time he plays them for the next eight years" Casen's destiny is Euro star with the ball in his hands all the time. He’s a bench big. He’s going to get time at both the 4 and 5. It’s inevitable.
IIRC he was the guy Ainge wanted in the draft that year but had to pivot to Yabusele when Denver grabbed him.I’m pretty sure this is the same Hernangomez that Ainge loved when he was in Denver. @nighthob you would know.
Trade makes sense on so many levels and was completely expected I’m sure we all agree. Love the job Brad is doing.
Unfortunately I believe it was stashes only with the extra 1sts that year.Should have pivoted to LeVert/Siakam/Dejounte.
Weird use of picks that year...Unfortunately I believe it was stashes only with the extra 1sts that year.
The Celtics are...kind of big now, or at least long/athletic everywhere? Are we now officially smurfless? I don't think PP qualifies.
YesWeird use of picks that year...
I don't really remember why we were draft & stashing (Yabusele + Zizic) but still making like 5 2nd round picks*. Was it cap reasons?
It's amazing that team was 53-29 with Avery Bradley being their 2nd leading scorer behind IT.
* Literally 3 - they traded 31 & 35 to the Grizzlies for a future Clippers protected 1st which became the 2019 20th pick, which the 76ers used to take Matisse Thybulle so we could draft Ty Jerome & Carsen Edwards (just traded to the Grizzlies today), & then use Ty Jerome to get off Aron Baynes' contract & get the 2020 Bucks 1st from the Suns which became the 30th pick, who became Desmond Bane... who they traded to the Grizzlies in a 3-team trade to dump Kanter & get 2 future 2nds - 1 of which I think is some weird conditional 2023 2nd & the other which it looks like they don't have anymore.
Yeah. Not long and athletic everywhere, but definitely long or athletic everywhere. The Celtics are...kind of big now, or at least long/athletic everywhere?
