I asked this earlier, but is it unrealistic for the NFL to create a rule that bans interviewing for head coaching jobs before the Superbowl ends?
Too close to free agency, I suppose, but couldn't they extend that date as well?
I thought they did have a rule like this, or at least used to. I was always under the impression that coaches from teams who earned a bye could interview during the bye week, and coaches from teams who went to the Superbowl could interview during the extra Superbowl week, but otherwise interviews had to wait until after a team lost.
I must be wrong; apparently teams can interview coaches during the playoffs as long as they travel to the coach. It seems wrong.
I would like to think Wisenhut's interviews had no impact on today's game, but that horrendous offensive gameplan they utilized in the 1st half suggests otherwise.
