I bet TNT is paying more than what ESPN paid for the rights.

This is because the guys who run the CFP didn’t know how to solicit competitive bids for the expanded playoff. So they sold it at a discount to Disney, who’s now making money as a re-seller.

Example #1,578,322 how the people in charge of college sports have no clue.

Eh, they serve too many masters that have differing needs and are willing to stab each other in a drop of the hat. It is hard to grab a multiple bids under those conditions. That said College Football probably shouldn't be part of the NCAA.
